Sussex Framing Centre Description

Three decades of on-site, bespoke framing service in Battle, East Sussex and now also East Grinstead, West Sussex. We frame sports shirts & memorabilia, art, photos, tapestries, jigsaws - you name it!

Experience: We’re now in our 3rd decade of providing bespoke framing services right here on the premises. We know what we’re doing, we do it well, and our customers tell us, and others, as much.

Workmanship: We let our customers do the talking. “The quality of the workmanship, especially on my more complex tapestries, is superb. ” “…the uncanny ability of the guys to see how to bring out the best in a painting, and above all, the sheer quality and attention to detail in every finished picture. ”

Standards: As a strict minimum, all our work is compliant with the Fine Art Trade Guild’s ‘Commended’ level from their 5 Levels of Framing. We are happy to advise on conservation and museum levels where appropriate.

Trust: We’ve framed countless valuable pieces of art and even more priceless personal family memories and heirlooms. We treat them all with equal care – if it’s valuable to you then it’s valuable to us.

Choice: The frame and effect you want to create in the finished piece is here, whether it’s traditional, contemporary, hand-finished or swept. We have over 700 frame mouldings to chose from, with thousands more in our catalogues.

Consultation: Simon, Richard and Graham are our three professional framers and are here to discuss all your design, glazing, mounting, conservation requirements with you. They’ll handle your order personally from start to finish.

Recommendation: The vast majority of our customers come to us by personal recommendation, and then come back again and again…

Frame what?: We can personalise your mirror or frame your baby booties, your favourite LP, your signed rugby shirt, tapestries, cross stitches, your favourite photos or whatever you like – we can frame it!

For who?: We’ve framed for everyone from Paul McCartney to The Queen Mother to our own mums and dads! Plus international artists, galleries, interior designers…….

PS: We also offer a picture and frame restoration service, transfer video to DVD and take pet and people portrait commissions. See Our Services page for the full list of services we offer.

Please note our East Grinstead branch is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am - 4. 30pm.

Caring For Your Frames Top Tip #2: Beware Damp Damp can cause pictures to ripple. If the ripples touch the glass, the picture might stick and be hard to remove. Damp also encourages fungal growth – likely to show as brown stains. Conservation framing can slow these effects... Read more here https://www.sussexframingcentre.co.uk/… /caring-for-your-fr…/

Wow! Check out the increased clarity and reduced reflections on the glass on the left side compared to the right. Ask us about our range of specialist glass...

Caring For Your Frames - Top Tip #1 Avoid Heat Ideally pictures should not be hung above radiators. Extreme or rapid changes in temperature cause paper and wood to dry out and adhesives to fail. More info here https://www.sussexframingcentre.co.uk/… /caring-for-your-fr…/

PLEASE NOTE: Our Hastings branch will close at 3.45pm today (Weds 24 Oct) for staff training. We reopen at 10am tomorrow. Apologies for any inconvenience.
