Thanks to Sarah in Steyning for this Christmas cracker. Best wishes to all our clients and friends X
Started the footings for our latest build in Southwick. Due to an old air raid shelter in the garden weβve had to use a concrete base.
A little bit of twilight magic. Thanks David for the photo :)
All ready for Christmas! This 8.2 x 3.5 garden room has a fully fitted bathroom, generous lounge area and bike shed (if you can spot it behind the Cedar π) Another job well done. We hope you enjoy it Adrienne and Max. ππ΄ββοΈ
Didnβt have time to get any interior photos, but the outside isnβt looking too bad.
Glass to be fitted soon, due to a small technical issue.
Cedar cladding and softwood decking looking smart at our Lewes site. Getting very close the finish line on this one now, will be all ready for Xmas! π
Thanks to Matt in Southwater for sending in this picture of his garden office all ready for Christmas.
Wow! We are very proud of how this Gym/Hot Tub build has turned out in Worthing! Our customer David has gone all out with the finishing touches, opting for composite decking, luxury quickstep flooring and fantastic lighting! It has been a pleasure collaborating with this customer to create such an incredible garden room. Enjoy! πππ π π
Roof lights and plasterboard installed in between eating some lovely cakes supplied by Jane. Shaun and Luke ate them all π€₯π
Finished the build today, laid the rubber roof, started the internal battening and had AllPhase in to complete the 1st fix.
The animation for our upcoming 7m x 5m annex in Pyecombe.
Here's a sneak peak of our stunning Worthing build. We can't wait to take some final photos once the hot tub arrives and the internal painting is finished.
Panels arrived late morning and we still managed to get the floor down and walls up at our new site in Plaistow. This is going to be a 7m x 4m gym. Well done boys.
Love this photo sent in by David this evening. Have a good weekend all!
All coming together nicely in Worthing. Cladding looking stunning as always, plastered throughout, decking sub frame under construction and we have been getting spoilt by the customer with bacon sandwiches and pies on a Tuesday! π
Bifold doors fitted and plasterboard finished ready for Monday.
Planning permission and annex builds....
1. Firstly, consider 'permitted development'. Most garden room projects don't require planning permission provided that the building is a maximum of 2.5m in height and that it won't occupy more than half of your garden.
2. You can even add a toilet, shower and kitchen facilities - without the need for planning permission or building regulations approval.
... 3. If however you wish to add sleeping accommodation, you will need to apply for planning permission.
4. Most local authorities will consider applications where the annex is ancillary to the main house. This means that the occupier of the annex plans to 'co-exist' between the main dwelling and the annex - so for instance not having an oven and washing machine etc would help prove such an arrangement.
5. In all cases, at Sussex Garden Rooms we can take care of all planning related questions and dealings with the council. We can apply for planning permission or lawful development certificates on your behalf, and can include all necessary plans and drawings.
