Went to the Stoke Newington shop to try the vegan fish and chips. It was so good! Both texture and taste! Good job! Staff was also very friendly! :)

We went for the vegan menu and it didn’t disappoint. I had the vegan ‘fish’ & chips and my gf had the ‘drunken mushroom pie’, both of which were delicious and the chips were amazing!

The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive staff and the atmosphere was of a traditional fish and chip shop.

Our only recommendation would be to offer plant milk to put in the tea - essential for any establishment that wants to attract vegan customers.

I’ve been ordering from Sutton and sons fishmongers for over a year now. We spend £200-£400 a month on good quality fish. Staff are brilliant and accommodating to how we want it cut etc. Peter and kal have always treated me with utmost respect given the climate and me wearing all black head to toe!



The other day me and my friend went to eat at their fish and chip shop amazing service and good food. The only negative was you need to get some good home made chilli sauce that’s actually hot lol.

I am a northern lad who adores fish and chips. Until I ate here I thought the best fish and chips were in the North, but not anymore. In the tradition of Spinal Tap I'm giving the marvellous Sutton and Sons 11 out of 10!

Had the Vegan ‘fish’ and chips, was lush! � Great food, great staff �

Friendly welcome, very good service and the food is incredible. We got the vegan fish, vegan fish cakes, vegan scampi and vegan battered sausage all with chips for 4 of us to share. The portions are huge and the flavour is delicious. So lovely to finally be able to eat something that has the flavour and texture of fish after being a vegetarian for 30 years! Looking forward to going again.

Forget any other Fish & Chips shop in London (or anywhere) and go to Sutton & Sons.



Went to Boxpark Shoredith yesterday. The Fish & Chips are made to order so fried fresh on the spot. Well worth the few minutes wait!



Super delicious and super super fresh, even after the walk home and having been in a box for 10 minutes the fish was still crispy and yummie, chips and garden peas were excellent too.



Will be back soon!

Sat there for ages, only 3 people in (already served)...

Shame ... not one bit of service offered, piss poor in fact.

I'm sure the guv'nor wouldn't like this...

Ordered fish and chips and mushy peas with these guys through deliveroo, when they arrived the peas were all over the place (no pun intended , it was actually cod). Anyway. I phoned to let them know what had happened and the 1st thing the guy said was 'what do you want me to do about it?' Followed by 'I'm very busy and haven't got time to listen to your complaint'. Finally spoke to the manager who was very good about it. Still. Food was good and the 3 peas I managed to scrape out the bag were quite tasty but the customer service was shocking, so won't be rushing back.

Took 2 kids with me after school. We waited to be served for over 20 minutes, had to ask if anyone was taking orders to be told he will in a minute. After serving everyone eating in and getting their drinks even though they come after us, Finally took my order then after waiting for a few minutes get told I have to wait even longer for food to cook. Ended up getting money and leaving without anything.

Really disappointed as I used to come in a lot but recently it’s been really poor service.

Really need to up your game and put some staff on that listen to the customers order. Twice I ask for chips with my fish. Get home and no chips. Your £2 up while I am hungry and cross.

Maybe the worst customer service I've ever experienced in London. In a time when people care about where the food they buy comes from, especially fish or meat, my question about where the sardines came from was greeted with appalling macho style mockery, such as "the sea", and then "Sardinia", only in the end to be told that it comes from the Cornish coast. Not only I will not spend my money in your shop again, I will make sure I tell my friends to never buy from you again.
