00:12 #Swadlincote_RDS were called to a RTC involving one vehicle on Springfield Road, Midway, Swadlincote. On scene one person was trapped in the vehicle. Crews extricated the casualty and made the scene safe. @DerbysPolice & @EMASNHSTrust also attended the incident #TeamWork

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service 21:27 #Swadlincote_RDS were called to a fire in Swadlincote woodlands on Frank Bodicote Way. On scene crews extinguished a smal fire in the woodland using water back packs and buckets of water.

Following a spate of deliberate fires in #Swadlincote Woods, #Swadlincote Red Watch have been out placing arson boards in the area.

A polite notice to those who have been setting fires in Swadlincote woodlands (off frank bodicote way). Whilst we are in attendance at these fires swadlincotes cover for emergencies is restricted, so any possible house fires with persons trapped or any RTC’s in the area will have a delay in receiving help! As first fire truck to arrive on the scene last night the @swadlincotefirefighters were met with a very large incident. #swadlincotefirefighters would like to thank the locals who helped with control at the roundabout and for all the kind words on social media.
