Swala was started by Harry Lane after returning from 6 months in Kenya, where he met Sarah Vigne who runs the Rock & Stones Community Project producing colourful, unique shorts from 100% cotton Kanga and Kitenge material. There are shorts for everybody: Men’s Beach & Bush Shorts which are multi-purpose and serve as both shorts and swimming trunks, Men’s Boxer Shorts, and for Girls Beach & Bush Shorts which are ideal for beach, holiday, festivals, by the pool or generally lounging around and also Girls’ Sleep Shorts. All available in a range of sizes XS – XL for Men and sizes 8 – 14 for Girls. The Rock & Stones project provides employment and training opportunities for rural communities in Kenya and then links the beautifully-made products with global markets.
