Sheppey Branch BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club)

Swale Divers is branch no 787 of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BS-AC). We are a relatively small club with around 25 members, but we are very friendly and very active. We are based in North Kent on the Isle of Sheppey. We have a diverse range of members from across Kent, ranging in age from 14 to 75 + and experience levels from absolute beginners to instructors with 40 + years experience.

The club is about to celebrate its 39th Anniversary with the big 4 0 coming up in 2015. The club is lucky enough to still have two of it's founder members, Roy Povey (Honorary Diving Officer) and Nigel Woolley.

The club has a collection of its own equipment to help beginners on through their initial training. The club also has a fully equipped 6m Rigged Inflatable Boat (RIB) which provides an ideal diving platform to allow us to make the most of diving in our waters.

We aim to dive most weekends from March to November. We dive mostly along the South Coast from Dover to Bognor Regis to Dorset to Cornwall. We have day dives to sites in Kent and Sussex. We also arrange three or four weekends away each year to Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Once a year we also dive further a fields. Recent holidays have included Belize, Gozo, Ireland and the Red Sea, The Scilly Isles and the Maldives.
