Swallow Hall Description
In 1991 the Scutt family began to transform a working farm into the family run leisure complex it is today. The site consists of two golf courses; a par 28, 9 hole course and a par 64, 18 hole course, a driving range, a licensed club house, tennis court, 4 luxury holiday cottages, and a 4 acre caravan and camp site accompanied by toilet and shower facilities. Swallow Hall is ideally situated, nestled in rural countryside whilst also in close proximity to some of the area’s most popular tourist attractions, in addition to only being 7 miles from the historic city centre of York.

Both courses are open & ready for play!
Announcement from the Greenkeepers "both courses are now OPEN but the ground is very hard". Should you not play to your usual standard you can always blame the latter 😊.
Unfortunately play is delayed again this morning as a result of the heavy frost. The Greenkeepers will assess the situation again after 8am.
At present the courses are closed due to a heavy frost. We hope to be open from 11am depending on how quick it thaws. Please call the golf office on 01904 448889 with any queries.
Another chilly day ahead! Remember your thermals & don't forget that you're always welcome to come & defrost by the fire after your game 🔥☕.
There is no frost this morning which means that the courses will be open & playable from first light! Don't forget your winter golf clothing!

And the landscaping work is pretty much finished! The hardwork has certainly paid off as the new gardens outside of The Paddock & The Stables look fantastic! All that's needed are a few finishing touches & the jobs a wrap 😊!
New road, new patios, new lawns & new fencing! Not long now until the landscaping outside of The Paddock & The Stables is complete 😊!

A slightly chilly day ahead but nothing that thermals won't resolve! Yet again there is no frost so the courses will be open for play as usual ⛳!
Surprisingly there is no frost here this morning so both courses are open! Trolleys can be used & we're playing off summer tees & greens!

we use the caravan park and use the 9 hole course as do many of our friends who use the caravan site ,most of us cant play golf well we try and just enjoy our selves lovely relaxing course can not fault the course or the Club House good food friendly staff spot on or as i would say well ansomemmm thank you Swallow Hall :-)

We’ve just had a long weekend as a family in one of the beautifully decorated cottages. Such a fantastic setting, lots for the children to do, great golfing facilities that are very well maintained, lovely clubhouse, great carvery and all run by very friendly people. Can recommend to all and we have already booked our next trip!
Well I’ve played golf for many years now a low handicapper and played loads of golf courses around the country and one day as working in york I saw this little golf course had my dinner break looking into the golf course called SWALLOW HALL GOLF CLUB ! And all I said to myself wot a lovely little gem of a golf course it looks so yesterday sat 19th jan 2017 it was made official my myself it was a real gem of a golf course to play overwhelmed with how good it was the tees / the fairways was great / but most of all the greens was fantastic I would like to say to the family owners wot a fantastic job you have done to make such a GEM of a golf course hidden away in york any society or club groups wanting somewhere to play please take my word for this yours in sport Richard Herrington 8 handicapper from Harrogate 10/10 from me ���

Swallow Hall is an excellent course you can play this course 99% of the year think in he past 10yrs I played this course only once I was turned away due to frozen greens. It’s well maintained and excellent greens it’s a credit to all who work there. Resonalby priced and loyalty card aswell play so many rounds and get one free.
Excellent golf course and well kept. One 9 holes course and one 18 holes course. Very friendly and not expensive.
Absolutely fantastic. Been coming 14years. Had an amazing birthday,with my family.
