Having recently reopened after a major refurbishment, we are proud to specialise in proper pub food using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients all of which are prepared daily in house. We also offer a wide variety of premium drinks which are perfect to enjoy in our beer garden. Here at The Swan, we see the importance of special occasions and offer a brilliant service to help plan your special event. We had our work xmas dinner at the Swan and it was excellent! They made me an awesome vegan meal and I was very impressed with the friendly staff. Lovely venue
The staff were really friendly, dog friendly and brought some doggie treats out, and when we wanted to sit outside they came and turned the heaters on. The food was great, service friendly, views fantastic and this might be our new favourite pub

Probably one of the best Sunday roasts we have had out - maybe ever! We were passing through on a long journey and needed some lunch so stopped on the off chance they could fit us in (on a bank holiday weekend we thought it would be hard to get a table) they were busy but found us a table - not a problem! Great food, great service - not cheap but average for a gastropub in the Home Counties and well well worth every penny! Just a shame we didn't have space for pudding

Love this place .... Food was great and service was spot on ..... And even a free dab of ice cream for my daughter from the amazing barstaff .. Love the decor and situated next to the river ...... Can't praise this place enough ...
I had my 40th birthday party at The Swan this weekend and it was a brilliant night.
The buffet food was delicious and there was plenty of it, we ordered some prosecco for the guests on arrival and the staff made sure everyone got a glass and came round regularly to fill them up (especially mine!).
Staff was super friendly and everyone commented on what a lovely venue it was.
Thank you to everyone that was working last night (I'm sorry the alcohol has wiped your names from my mind!!) and to Sonia for helping me organise it all.
Great pub stunning location. Friend had his 40th here and nothing was too much effort for the staff. Own private terrace, great food & drink.
Great position to watch the boats go up and down, various different sections inside and outside pub, great decor, large outdoor areas, sections can be reserved for private use, good choice of wines, friendly staff, great food. Fabulous.
Great food, amazing service and a laid back atmosphere.
The staff were super helpful with my 2yr old son having a melt down a few times, made such an effort and we really appreciated it.
Highly recommended to visit here.

Exceptional , the place is great , Sophie took great care of our needs ( trained well) , and the food , well the FOOD was delicious and great taste ,one of the best place to dine , good to see they get rid of the little Italian fellow who was always picking on his nose behind the bar . Sorry I had to say it . Was a few times that I saw that . Cheffy there know they're job . Just great guys . We'll be back for sure . Thanks again to that lovely girl and congrats to the management of the place ,keep up the good work .
I hired a hut which cost £20, however it would have been nice if someone had told us that the heater wasn't working 😤.
It was a very sunny ☀️ day and they obviously didn't have enough staff on .
On a positive I had a lovely time with my friends for my birthday and was really grateful I booked the hut otherwise we wouldn't have had anywhere to sit 🌅🌅
could be a really nice place as you walk in but seems to be missing something not sure what ,not really very inviting ,food not great .wanted to taste the wine before we brought a bottle but they didn't seem to want to .took us three attemps before one of the staff (who wasn't even on dutie) found one suitable .i may seem a bit fussy but these are all basic rules that make a good pub restrant
Would be lovely if they didn't allow people to smoke in the outside dinning area. The food was average, you need more healthier options.
Management need to sort out families with badly behaved 6-7 year old kids in the bar at 7.00pm. Don't object to them being there, but the parenting was awful, didn't seem to care that others were annoyed. Keep your kids under control if you bring them to a pub in the evening!! Rant over.
Food was ok. Very over priced for a small portion on the “specials” menu.

We've been going to this place for years. We went last night and my husbands salmon was raw inside so we ended up eating separately and no service recovery was offered. Real shame as we love the setting and the atmosphere.
So last night I order a pint of winter warmer along with some other drinks. I glance over to the barman pouring my pint to witness him emptying the slops tray into my glass (approximately half a pint) and then proceeded to top it up from the tap. He then looked my way and realised I had been watching. Obviously recognising the dismay on my face he said "do you not want a fresh one?" I replied with too right I do. To which he said "don't worry we do it all the time". Safely to say that is the last pint of ale I shall be having at the swan. Unbelievable!
It was packed, great for a Wednesday, weather blistering so hoped they would be prepared.... NOT. Only place left to seat was blocked off. We sat there but was moved to to be told they had plastered that area with chemicals to clean it. There where children around, only a few chairs blocking your way; CHEMICALS.... what sort? how safe? and dont they watch the weather, as they were packed Sunday so could they not clean with chemicals on Monday morning. Wont rush back!
