My professional background covers the Alexander
Technique, Rookie Lifesaving, Parent and Child classes and all elements of swimming, specialising in those with a fear of the water. I am a qualified Swim Instructor, a Regional Mentor for the Institute of Swimming and a qualified school teacher. I wish to see the fun, format and feedback of the classroom converted in to swimming lessons, where guardians and teachers work together to meet the learning outcomes. I like to be able to give motivation and feedback instantly as this is proven to be more effective for the swimmer. This is why we tend not to swim classes across the widths and why we have less than 3 swimmers in a group. Many of our swimmers have 1: 1 lessons. Sometimes children also need some introduction to an activity on the side, just as we prepare learners theoretically before getting them to demonstrate a skill.
