Another weekend coming up with bargain fares for children. Only £1 for each child, when accompanied by a fare paying adult. Services start at 10.30 from Blunsdon station, with regular trains throughout the day. You can also join the train at Taw Valley Halt , on the edge of Mouldon Hill Country Park. We will be operating to our Orange Timetable on Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend, with the first departure at 10.30 from Blunsdon. The originally scheduled steam loco will unfortunately not be available, and services will now be operated by two of our heritage diesels - class 09 diesel on Saturday and the class 73 electro diesel on Sunday.

A quick update on tomorrow's services (Sunday) - due to a technical problem with the scheduled steam loco, the timetable will be operated by one of our heritage diesel locos, with services starting at Blunsdon at 10.30. The Beer & Cider festival will be in full swing, with live music at scheduled times.

Come and get to know a bit more about our railway - how did it come about and how did it develop ? How does it operate ? How does restoration take place ? And what does it feel like to have a go at driving one of our diesel locomotives - try it in our "Driver for a fiver " activity. Normal regular services will be operated by visiting steam loco 5619 (courtesy of the Telford Horsehay Steam Trust).

Here's another good reason to visit us this weekend. A chance to see the Ogbourne layout built by Peter Rutter and now on display in the S&CR museum.
