Good bike shop with helpful and friendly staff. They have lots of shiny bike bits, some decent deals and a workshop incase you need a mechanic to take a look at your bike before you head out on the trails. They also sell energy bars and drinks.

Good range of parts and clothes, and some decent bikes at a nice discount. Handy for an energy bar and cold drink at the end of Follow the Dog.

Had the misfortune of my seat clamp buckling with a cracked bolt,managed limp th bike into swinerton cycles and a nice guy repaied it for the amazing price of £1! Just charged for the bolt! Managed to complete my journey back home...didnt get a name(thanks whoever you were)

Premium mountain bike shop for MTB enthusiasts, wide range of stock (clothing, bikes, spares, etc) although is more for the quality end of the market - if you want a cheap bike for casual riding, perhaps not the right place for you. If you're a regular rider of Chase Trails dedicated MTB trails though, great location and the shop houses all of the parts you'll need. Knowledgeable staff, Adam especially friendly/helpful.
*Note, usually closed on Wednesdays.

Fantastic stock of quality parts/clothing etc. Very friendly family run business. Hire bikes that are worth £1,000's for £35. Located next to two fantastic rides The Dog & The Monkey and all the natural free trails of the Chase. Great place, highly recommended.

Very dishonest staff, I was charged £20 for shipping a faulty shock and they claimed they had been invoiced this from the supplier. I paid this and when I queried this with the supplier they hadn't charged Swinnerton at all. Basically taking adding to my costs for their own profit.

Avoid taking their word for anything such as hire deposits. I won't use them again.

Firstly if you're thinking about hiring a bike for the day with these, please take note that they take £200 PER BIKE for a deposit! (£1000 for a premium bike) And they withdraw the money from your account for a few days!
Very unreasonable company who refused to take other methods of payment for a £400 deposit as the card I had taken wasn't letting them take the money out.. even though your details should just be held IN CASE damage is caused, not regardless.
After suggesting we could do a bank transfer or payment over the phone from other cards back home, they told us that would be fraudulent for some bizarre reason. This was after they had taken the initial 40 hire for both bikes, and we were refused our money back but after some time they finally decided to refund us, but made out they were doing us a massive favour. Overall I would conclude this company is untrustworthy and do not have the customers best interest at heart.

Just take your own bikes and do the trails for free, or rent elsewhere!

Couldn't be more helpful even on a really busy sunny Bank Holiday Monday. Managed to repair mine and my friend's bike in excellent time eventhough we just dropped in. Can't thank enough.
