Reviews
It is with sadness that we would like to announce the retirement of our specialist sexual health nurse, Judith Miller. Judith has been with the Practice for over 13 years, and in this time has built a reputation among her colleagues for clinical excellence. Our trainee doctors have always valued her instruction, and she consistently receives excellent feedback from patients.
Judith will be dearly missed at the Practice, but our loss is her family's gain: Judith plans to spend a lot more time with her grandchildren.
We wish her a long, happy retirement.
Our flu vaccines have been delivered!
The temperature is dropping, and so too are the leaves. Which means it's the right time to think about protecting yourself for the winter ahead.
If you are aged 65 or over, are pregnant, a child, a carer, or suffer from a long-term condition, then it is recommended that you have a seasonal flu vaccine.
... You can walk-in at any time to have your flu jab without an appointment, or if you prefer, please come to one of our dedicated flu clinics to have your jab.
It doesn't take long, and will help you to stay fit and healthy this winter.

We are holding a Saturday Flu Clinic this Saturday, 25 October, from 09:30-13:30. If you suffer from a long-term condition, are pregnant, a carer, or are over 65, and you have not yet had your flu jab then please come! You don't need an appointment, though if you would prefer one you can contact reception any time this week and you will be given a time. If you have children aged 2, 3 or 4 years old then please bring them: It is strongly advised that they are protected from flu this winter.
October has seen the arrival of a few new faces at the Practice, and the return of a familiar one! We are delighted to welcome Vasanti and Nafeesa to our reception team. We're sure they will bring a lot to the administrative side of Swiss Cottage Surgery. On the clinical side, we're equally delighted to welcome Samira Esmaeilifar, Physician Associate. Finally, a warm welcome back to Dr Phillip Smith, who was previously with us as a GP registrar, but now joins us permanently as a salaried GP. We're very fortunate to be able to work with such a high quality team, and we're confident that these new additions will only raise our standards.
Don't forget, the Practice has been offering a range of online services for a long time now! By way of a reminder, you can:
- Book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments online.
- Order, view and print a list of your repeat prescriptions for necessary drugs, medicines or appliances online.
... - View, export or print summary information from your records relating to medications, allergies and adverse reactions online.
To start using these services please ask a member of our reception team (in person, by email, or on the phone) to provide you with registration details. The process is very quick and straightforward. We currently have over 1600 patients registered to use these online services, so it must be useful!
