Sywell Aerodrome opened in 1928 and during the Second World War the aerodrome was used as an RAF training facility and repair depot for Wellington Bombers. Sywell Aerodrome caters for private flights, flight training and corporate flights all year around from its all weather concrete runway. The Aerodrome operates Brooklands Flying School, Brooklands Engineering providing aircraft maintenance and Sywell Aviation which operates the licensed airfiield. As part of the Group, The Aviator Hotel overlooks the Aerodrome and offers Bar, Restaurant and Function facilities and also a unique Art Deco style Hotel.
