I just celebrated my 40th birthday party on Saturday, everything was perfect -the staff decorated the place really beautifully. All my guests really complimented the food and said the food was really yummy especially the starters, the waiters were really nice. It was really great night- Thank you Rijul and all your staff for making my night wonderful - Shokina :) :) :) :) :)

Had my 40th here, food and service was great, DJ smashed it with great tunes, totally recommend this place for birthday events.

Brilliant food, excellent service, definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Redbridge! Strongly recommend it!

Nice place well decorated tables, furnishings. The food is tasty but it is too chilly and I am Asian that eats chilly food. However this food is all madras and unpalatable without a pot of yogurt with it. I could not eat it so took it home in a doggy bag last night and put half a pot of yogurt in it to eat it. Nice place to celebrate our friend's birthday and then dance there afterwards as they have a DJ on site. They close at midnight which is fine as it is a family place. Enjoyed my night there last night with my friends.

I ate at this restaurant yesterday after work with 2 friends. It was my first time but one of my friends eats here often and recommended it.



The deco inside is old fashioned and out of date. Staff/management had their personal belongings dumped on a round table by the entrance which looked unprofessional and tacky.



It's dark and dingy looking inside.



The glasses on the tables were stained and cloudy looking. They should be kept behind the bar in my opinion so people aren't touching and playing with them- especially children.



The plates were cold and looked as though they had seen better days.



One of the waiters sneezed in his hands. I never saw him wash them. I'm a stickler for hygiene when I eat out and this put me off slightly.



The presentation of the food was nothing special. It looked "ok". The food was good and I had no complaints but I thought the food and drinks were quite over priced considering we were only in Ilford.



Between the 3 of us, we each paid £18.40



Thankfully none of us drink alcohol or that would have increased the overall bill.



I love my food and I enjoy authentic Indian food but this place won't see me again in a hurry.



The mocktails were expensive and there were no offers on these that other restaurants have adopted. A happy hour would have been nice.



A small group arrived before we left and requested to sit at the round table by the doors. They were informed that only management sit there and told to choose another table.



Although they did sit somewhere else, they weren't happy and left within minutes of arriving.



The glasses and plates on the table were touched by them which is why I mentioned earlier that they shouldn't be on the table.



There's a small dance floor and DJ stand in the corner. Again- it's all out dated.



Invest some money into redecorating and reinvent the menu.



There's nothing wrong with the food quality. It's everything else.

If you want good quality food and good customer service this is NOT the place to go - if you are happy to pay a ridiculous price for cold dry tasteless food please do go and experience it - the best thing is the music ..

I had been to this restaurant multiple times a few years ago where there were positive experiences but after yesterday i doubt I will ever return. Organised a surprise birthday meal for my mum where a whole list of things went wrong including:



1) Approximately one hour before the event we called to confirm our booking to then be told that our table was cancelled as apparently one of their staff rang my sister who said she did not want the table. This was a blatant LIE as we have been planning this for weeks and my sister rang them approximately 5 times to confirm that we would be coming. Luckily they still had a table available otherwise this could have potentially ruin my mum's bday celebration.



2) When my relatives arrived to set the table up with decorations one of the waiters was being very rude and disruptive. At one point where the party was booked for 10 people the waiter had actually moved one of our tables to the party next to us, gathered the confetti that was put on that particular table and chucked it on our table saying that we did not pre-book the table for 10 people even though we did. Luckily the party next to us was nice enough to return the table back to us.



3) The service was absolutely awful!!! It took them ages to take our starter order. We had to keep flagging them up to ask for things and constantly repeating requests where they kept forgetting about us. The only time they were attentive was when we were getting the bill where the waiter was practically breathing down our neck whilst we were trying to split the bill (we actually had to ask him to step away as he was making us uncomfortable). And whatever happened to service with a smile?



4) Halfway through we decided we wanted to cut the SURPRISE bday cake for my mum which we specifically told them that it was a surprise. One of their waiters then decided to come to our table and announce in front of everyone including my mum that "your cake is ready" which completely ruined the surprise for her. When I told him so he didn't even apologise, just said "oh I didn't know" and walked away.



5) The staff then decided to put the cake on the dance floor when my sister told them that we wanted the cake brought to our table to which we informed them to do so. Another waiter proceeded to then bring the cake to our table WITHOUT having the candles lit and just plonked it down in front of my mum. Seriously, common sense states that they should have lit the candles when bringing the cake to my mum to have it cut. When we told the waiter this he came out with pathetic excuses and said he was not gonna apologise because he did nothing wrong. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?



Overall the staff's attitude and whole demeanour put a complete downer on the evening and basically ruined my mum's birthday surprise. The only thing that was positive was that the food was fairly decent but to be honest I didn't really have an appetite to enjoy the food as the staff's behaviour just really put me off. In fact, after speaking to a few people about this experience it turns out that your staff actually have a reputation for being rude to customers. Your staff need a refresher on customer service and an attitude check. I used to recommend this place based on my experiences a few years ago- clearly as time has gone on this place has gone downhill which is a huge disappointment. I now advise people to strictly avoid this place.
