Junior School had a fantastic #OutdoorClassroomDay yesterday! Activities ranged from mini beast hunting, making roman collars, french boules, writing from the perspective of a mouse in the woods and many more exciting things! To make it even better the sun was shining all day long! Thank you Mrs Diment for organising! #THSchJunior

More GOOD news from the Golf Course! Ellie won the 1st round of the Macleod Cup at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club on Saturday shooting a round of 1 over par & 41 Stableford Points. Her handicap has been cut to 5.9. The picture shows her on the 10th tee and there's a deer grazing on the right by the tree! On Sunday she went through to the Dorset County Summer Knockout Semi Finals, winning 4&2 at Broadstone Golf Club. #THSchGolf #THSchSport

The senior ski party reunion was a hit tonight after school. We laughed and smiled at the fun we had in Pila, watching the video clips and photos whilst enjoying pizzas and brownies. It was lovely for staff and students to get together to reminisce. #THSchSki Interski

The children enjoyed serving their guests with tea and cakes before taking their visitors to visit the classrooms to see their work. It was a very enjoyable experience for both the children and their grandparents. #THSchY2 #THSchGrandparentsTea

As public exams commenced last week and the sun shone, I decided to have our Talbot Heath deckchairs put on our front lawn.
I cannot believe how much joy such a move has brought to the school community. From early in the morning, until after pick-up time, the deckchairs have been in perpetual use by pupils, staff and parents.
Upper 5 and Sixth form pupils have sought respite in them, folders in hand, in between exams. ... Lower year groups have been heading out with a spring in their step at lunchtime and breaktime; Staff have enjoyed a quiet moment during their lunch breaks and parents have been spotted relaxing in them while waiting to collect their daughters after a trip.

 Visitors to the school and prospective parents have all commented on the fact that the inviting sight of them lifts their spirits as they come onto site; pupils laughing, smiling, relaxing, reading, even singing in them, reflect the school ethos.
Having asked for the chairs to be put out, I also bought various outdoor toys for the senior girls to use on Boarders' green. Before I knew it, pupils from 11-18 were coming to the front office to ask for the hula hoops and footballs.

It is a joy to see our senior pupils having such fun in the campus.
They now give the Junior pupils a run for their money when it comes to mass games of hide and seek, and tag. The change in the weather has meant that the chairs have taken shelter in our poetry shed, but do not fear, they shall return as soon as the sun comes out again. In the meantime, I have ordered rugs and giant jenga.
