Very very expensive and very poor quality Wish I had never heard of them When I tried to complain they were very rude. Never again. There are plenty of good solicitors in the town

I have used Talbot Walker’s services for some years now, mainly for employment related matters. Simon has always delivered prompt, professional and expert advice. I have always had the utmost confidence in his attitude to a positive solution where possible and common-sense approach. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Talbot Walker.

Talbot Walker has recently dealt with the sale of our house and purchase of our Bungalow. We haven't moved in 24 years so it was all quite daunting to us but Lee Chong help us every step of the way, explaining what he was doing, what we needed to do and what would happen next. He made us feel confident that everything was covered and all at a reasonable cost.
We would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again.

Initially, I contacted a few solicitors and they were the first to reply - very prompt and super friendly. I was dealing with one of the partners. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there on in. It took a very long time for a straight forward process. There was no-one holding anything up, no disagreements. I had to constantly chase them for an update and on multiple times when I went in, they would get out the big, paper folder and constantly check with me that they were saying the right information.

Fairly quickly, I kept copies of everything myself as I just couldn't trust them to get it right. At one point they got the numbers wrong - which is a massive deal with you're dealing with mortgages and buying someone out!

I was super close to a deadline with the mortgage offer expiring (thats how ridiculously long the process took), so chasing them became a priority. I tried to get an idea of what will happen, so we could get all paperwork our end prepared in advance but they were never able to provide this information.

Being completely new to this type of thing, I expected more hand holding and an explanation of the process and terminology. Most of the time, I just had to Google what they were talking about and work it out for myself, when I asked them - it was nearly impossible to get a non-jargon answer.

The entire experience with them left me quite bitter. I felt that it would have been more efficient and cost effective to have dealt with it all myself - even with the steep learning curve.

I didn’t even get an apology from them when it was completed. They just appeared to shy away from the entire episode.
