Sewing for Fun - four week workshop in Dawlish starting Saturday 22 September 2018 (10am-12pm)
Bring your machine* along and learn how to wind a bobbin and thread it up, sew in a straight line and tackle different types of seams. ... Using these new skills you will complete two simple projects - a cushion and a bag. Full guidance will be given and we will work at your pace.
The cost of the workshop is £100 per person, which includes tuition, fabric & notions plus refreshments and laughter.

Dear valued Tall Amy customers. We will be closed w/c 13 March 2018 because Beck has undergone emergency surgery for appendicitis. It is hoped that she will be returning to work on Monday 20 March. Ok everyone, I'm putting together my workshop calendar for September, October and November and would like to know what things you want to be making.
Perhaps you want to treat yourself to a new, handmade skirt, something for your home or even try your hand at some Chrimbo decorations or pressies.

Do you like the idea of having something a bit different to the crowd? Have you ever thought about making a dress or shirt for yourself or something for your children?
If you have answered 'yes' to either of these questions then this is for you!
... I'm planning a couple of short courses (1 session a week for 2 or 4 weeks depending on the garment) at the end of which students will take home a completed garment along with the pattern and instructions to reuse at home.
Places will be limited to ensure plenty of individual tuition. Dates and further information will be announced soon so keep an eye on this page.

Here's a shade that was made by a student. The fabric worked well and will fit in with her colour scheme. She was really pleased with it! If you fancy trying your hand at your own I'll be running another workshop in April. Details will be posted shortly!
