Tally Ho Conference & Banqueting Centre

We are looking to recruit a highly efficient and motivated kitchen porter who has the ability to fulfil the given tasks that are set for them with the ability to work within a strong team.
As Kitchen Porter you will be working on a rota basis and responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen whilst supporting the team in hygiene practices and maintenance of the kitchen. You will work closely with the head Chef to maintain the highest standards possible
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES ...& ACTIVITIES: � To provide an efficient, clean and organised wash-up cycle of crockery, cutlery and other items in the wash-up areas. � To ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy, pots and pans cleaned , maintained and ready for use � To provide a safe working environment in the kitchen, wash up and back of house areas. � To ensure the smooth running of these areas you need good organizational skills and ability to avoid a backlog of washing-up. � To assist in other areas of the kitchen when asked to do so.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION: � Excellent attention to detail � Should love working with food � To maintain current Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Evacuation and other procedures at work � Strong Communication skills � Pro-active and reliable � Able to work alone and within a team in a diverse working environment � Person must be available to work during the week as well as weekends
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL AND REQUIRED: � GCSE level 2 � 12 months experience as a Kitchen Porter
Salary: Dependant of experience
Weekends are essential!

JOB PURPOSE As Front of House Staff, you will work as part of a rota system and in line with the business needs. You will be required to serve clients to both food and beverages to a high standard in a busy conferencing and banqueting centre. You will be required to work as part of team and Duty Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of both the food & beverage departments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES - Waiting on clients during functions and maintaining a high level of serving standards - Ability to work in a busy food environment and beverage - Ability to serve both in the bars and to the clients table - Ensuring that the equipment and departments are kept clean at all times - Ability to learn the processes of each department and adhere to the business standards
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION - Love to work in a busy customer facing environment - Ability to learn a high-quality silver service standards - Work to health & food safety standards - Pro-active and reliable
EXPERIENCE AND REWARDS - Previous experience is preferred but not essential - Full training on all department, health and safety and food hygiene will be given - Salary meets both National and Living Wage requirements - Paid holidays (based on hours worked) - Contributory workplace pension scheme
