Yesterday the 18th was the 25th Wedding Anniversary of Tamsin & David. Not often we can all get away from the park together, we had a lovely celebration dinner a the The Rifle Volunteer How time flies. As we left for dinner all the donkeys gave lots of Eeyores running around the top field.

User

Joyce and all the donkeys & staff want to say a very big thank you to all who have supported and donated to us after the vandalism. Thank You Eeyore Thank You

User

So we have had intruders on the park at night again. Beyond comprehension, what on earth is gained by doing this mindless act of vandalism. As a struggling animal sanctuary we do not need unnecessary costs, one picnic table broken and all the umbrellas. Whoever you are, I will catch you (or my dog will) 😡😡😡

Many of our regular visitors will have seen like us, Bethany grow up into a lovely young lady and watch her mother face chemo head on. Bethany has decided to do something to help young children go through what her mother had to. Regards Old D (proud Poppa)

So we couldn’t work out why we would occasionally hear Bethany’s harp in the middle of the night. Culprit has been caught😻 naughty Simba!!

User

Loaf obviously thinks he’s a human and not a goat. Have tried to tell him he’s not allowed on the seats but he obviously thinks otherwise😆

Sad day last week, we said goodbye to this very old lady. Cherry had been here since the park first opened in 1989, so she lived to a ripe old age. She taught many children to ride and also how to hang on tight when she turned into the naughty chestnut mare that lurked inside😆 RIP little lady

We visited today on our way home from our holiday. All the animals were so sweet. We had a meal which I must say was very reasonable and very tasty. The only thing I would say is that the place in general could do with a tidy up, although appreciate its charity run and takes alot of money to do. Some of the outside play area needs updating and made just a bit safer. Thats not running the place down, we spent about 2 1/2 hours there and the children had a great time. Thanks for a lovely visit.

Visited today was greeted by a lovely lady went through to feed the donkeys and was greeted by Daphne who loved the dogs fed her and beamish first they are a lovely and clean place to go the animals are well cared for and the staff are so welcoming I liked the fact the owner could look at a picture of a donkey we took and tell us it's name so worth the money paid thank you so much

Visited for the first time today with my friend and our children & we all absolutely loved it!! We had such a fantastic day! We took the kids to see Santa and wow he was definitely the best Santa we have seen! It was so lovely that he took the time to read a book to our children.. Santa made their day plus all staff were really friendly and it was overall a brilliant day.. we will definitely be back!

Such a lovely and great value venue for my daughter's 9th birthday party. We were so well looked after, facilities and party food excellent and so much for the kids to do with a very relaxed safe environment. The children loved the animals, such a happy place for them to live. Great place worth supporting.

Ok...it's small it's a little rough round the edges but it does a great job and offers love and security to some wonderful donkeys...for younger children it has lots to offer and hours of fun to be had...it's not Disneyland it's a donkey sanctuary doing a great job and raising lots of smiles along the way...entry may seem a little steep ...walk away content those lovely creatures are well cared for and have a happy life...worth a visit go get dirty and enjoy the characters ...will create a memory you'll talk about for years to come...fresh air animals mud and a lovely little café... support these people they work very hard and improve so many lives.

My granddaughter and grandson loved it , aged 7 and 5 it’s good for ages up to age 9/10 . Outdoor play area was good but wellies is a must plenty of mud around even feeding the donkeys you need your wellies. Grandchildren throughly enjoyed their self.

User

My children absolutely love it here! The year pass is well worth it’s money if you live locally like us. The staff are always lovely and the donkeys are great of course.

User

Lovely friendly place to while away a few hours with the children. Massive good park there. Maybe a pony or donkey ride would top it off as there wasn't a lot of animals to see really. Over all had a good day though! Abby the young girl helping with the grooming & walking the donkeys was excellent at her job, very friendly & informative. She should get the staff of the year award as her sunny disposition was great for the park!!

User

I love this place! I just sat with a donkey next to me and I was so happy. I’m coming here on my way to Plymouth every month!

User

Great value for a chilled out visit very much free flow lots to do indoor and outdoor as well as the animals such friendly staff just a shame we left it to visit on our way home after our holiday we could have easily stayed longer...... Next time we holiday in this direction we shall most definitely call again!

User

Had a lovely time here. The kids really enjoyed being able to feed the donkeys and goats, they also groomed them and held some Guinea pigs. We enjoyed lunch in the cafe, where the kids played for over an hour in the soft play area before we played outside for another hour.

User

We visited yesterday and were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel so welcomed and was kind enough to tell us the times of the bus back to the railway station. The animals were a joy and my grandson lived being able to feed and smooth the donkeys his favourite was Teddy. If I was disappointed with anything I would say it was the toilets and the grumpy staff in the restaurant and I wasn't the only one who noticed the attitude when serving they seemed very bored a total contrast to the lady who greeted us. I know the Tamar Valley Donkey Park has limited resources but perhaps just the toilet area especially the baby changing area could do with a bit of tlc. Obviously the storms this winter took up a lot of the budget repairing the damage. But I would say this is a pleasant day out for your children and adults alike.

User

We visited today and we did have a nice time. We were disappointed by the general state of the place and how much we had to pay (The website etc make it sound and look better than it is). The outdoor play area needs to be updated and made much safer. The whole place was quite untidy, the toilets did not seem well stocked (no toilet roll/hand towels in one at all) and although I appreciate that the main part is keeping the donkeys looked after, some money needs to be spent making the place a bit more up to date and keeping the facilities looked after.

Overall the kids had a great time and it was enjoyable.

User

Not how I remember it to be was a lot better 20 years ago but is good for the kids and can kill a couple off hours

User

Greeted by an older man (owner I think) who was really lovely and welcoming. Loved all the animals and great how you can be so close to them and have them wandering around amongst you! I do think that it is over priced for what is there though and lots of youngsters working there who need to learn a few things about customer service. Also the 'play park' needs some attention...bits of wood falling off and rusty nails poking out screams 'accident' waiting to happen!! Had a nice day though!
