The Tamarind is always a delight, the venue is spotless and it's very apparent the owner takes immense pride in the level of service his restaurant provides, they are always busy which means you might have to wait a little while occasionally but the food is fresh, the service, discreet and polite. An oasis on Wellingborough road, go there, you will be glad you did

My first visit to this restaurant and certainly won't be my last. My husband and I hadn't booked but we were quickly found a table. The place is spotlessly clean and has a quality feel to it. The service was fabulous and the food was excellent.

I love this place. The staff are brilliant and polite. Also the presentation is beautiful and the food is amazing! Me and my partner often talk about a particular dish that I've been trying to find a recipe for but I've had no luck! I would happily travel 170 miles in the near future to come here again. Ive recommended to so many people. Trust me it's a lovely place.

Have spent over a year trying to find food that compares to our wonderful but sadly no more Royal Bengal, I have to say, I truly loved our meal on Friday evening, my usual dish, King Prawn Tawa was completely amazing, Chef, I bow down to you, I was won over after the 1st mouthful, can’t wait to go back, .. truly great service + food of the highest standard ,..����

Great restaurant I live in Northampton and go there all the time. If you are in the area, it's well worth a visit. I always take visitors here love it!

Eaten at the restaurant more than once, can't have any complaints. The food it beautiful and will always be returning to the restaurant, the staff are lovely and very friendly, highly recommend!�

Amazing food! Really good flavours of spice in the curries. I'll never turn down the chance to eat at the Tamarind. The staff are really nice and helpful. Such an enjoyable evening.

Absolutely brilliant food from the most inovative menu in the county served in superb surroundings by professional, friendly and helpful front of house staff. Probably the best and most refined restaurant in the county and beyond.

I've given 3 stars, but it really should be 5.



My recent delivery experienced have been a 2 at the best, past 2 orders an item has been forgotten, missed off or not delivered and what had turned up has been warm at best....very disappointed.



My eating in experiences are always a 5, the food is not in question..... Best in Northampton.



Wound like these comments to taken seriously and are constructive.



Please don't let your superb reputation slip by poor attention to detail and warm delivered food.

Food took over an hour and a half to be delivered. It was supposed to come with a free bottle of wine as the order was over £50. We actually only received a bottle of lager and that was OUT of DATE! The food however could not be faulted. Very delicious and good quantities of all food.

Had to wait an hour for our food with only 2 other tables in the restaurant only one rice out of 3 arrived with the food very disappointed

Normally I would I give you guys a 5* but tonight we ordered from you guys we didn’t get want we ordered some bits were missing from the order and we got given extra rice when I asked for two we have a 5 pound voucher and taken was not from it and he still took it we have ordered from you guys for years we haven’t got a lot of money as we have gotta move out of our house so you can imagine things ain’t great we was really looking forward to this treat

I heard great reviews and I’m pretty chilled about going out so was happy to attend a group outing here. From the minute I sat down there were 3 male servers rushing us to order our drink and food. Then one of the party arrived 10 mins late and they expected her to tell them right there what she wanted to eat! When our food arrived I was constantly being leant over by the servers which then were shouting out at as to whose food it was. Drinks came extremely slowly! Then after we had finished the main, we were given the bill. We said we wanted desert but were told the table had been booked so we had to leave now. We asked why we were not told this? The reply was it is a business we need to take our drinks and sit in the lounge . It was awful and aggressive! Completely unnecessary and rude! Awful service, leaning over us and shouting at us. Waste of money

Booked for the banquet night .... it's advertised as £9.95 per person for 1 starter 1 main, 1 side, and rice or nann, only to be told it's 1 side between 2 which isn't what is advertised, there was 5 of us, and we were told we could only have 2 sides.... really??!! After trying to explain to them a number of times this wasn't what was advertised, they said we could have 3 side dishes between 5.... still not what was advertised! ... Not impressed, we questioned it further and had been met with ..... everyone else here has had the 2 to a side dish... I once again explained this was not what is advertised outside and on their fb advert! We basically get told if we didnt like it to leave, service was slow when it came to drinks etc then then to be met with that attitude and total lack of customer service skills we left feeling quite upset and annoyed, we headed to Balti central, amazing curry and such polite and friendly staff and service which was a million miles away from what we had just experienced here! I will never recommend this place or set foot in it again after being met with this disgraceful service!
