I'm going to say my full truth and my opinions on the college. I joined level 2 IT and the teachers and the work was un-prepped and the computers were acting up since day one. The English was great for me but the maths is just a joke since they don't work at your pace and learning style. They treated us like children and have annoying rules (example: not being allowed to wear hats and jackets in lessons. we basically cant have our own personality!) They have outdated tech (heating, lighting etc. ) and there's clutter everywhere. They stress more about students having their card with them than students actually passing their exams. Most of the people that go there are chavs and look like their going to hurt you if you look in their general location. I wish I picked a better course or gone to another college.
Coming to College might not necessarily mean that you are going to be out of pocket. A range of financial assistance may be available throughout your studies.
If you are on a low income or are dependent on parents who are on a low income, the College can help you with the costs of attending College. The kind of assistance available to you will depend on your age and the type of course you are studying.
This college helped me achieve higher education. Not everyone has the same experience of school or calm enough living situations for optimal educational progression as a youth.This college rebuilt me when I'd given up on myself and my ability to be academic.
The staff are supportive, the facilities are good, the other students mostly want to be there learning and my education was the best experience. I've got a degree now (bit of very expensive paper!) but more importantly I exceeded my own expectations.
Generally a poor experience studying at this College, complaints have been raised to tutors but nothing is ever done about the issues. For a few weeks/months of my course, the learning tools did not meet any sort of needs of the pupils/students. The management seem to care more about the students who don't want to be there more than the students who are exceeding academically and in extra-curricular activities
