Tameside Primary School

Year 3 campers.......
...have arrived safely. You are welcome to collect your Year 3 child. (Siblings are to be collected at normal time).

Year 3 camping..........
Our campers are on their way back home. All have had a great time. Their estimated time of arrival is 1.50pm.

Year 3 camping.................
Camping trip is going great, all well fed, sitting enjoying a camfire and hot chocolate. Everyone is happy and the sunshine has stayed out for them.

Trip to Cannock Chase......................
The children have arrived at Beaudesert safely and are enjoying getting to know the site.

Team Tameside..........
Challenge completed and all are safely back with friends and family.
Congratulations and Well Done!!

Update: Team Tameside - 17hrs later..........
Team Tameside faced treacherous conditions, poor visibility and soaked through but they've completed the challenge!! Well Done all - very proud!!
We can't forget family and friends who were at each base supporting and encouraging Team Tameside - Thank you.

Pioneer Centre Residential Visit..........
Parents are invited to a meeting on Tuesday 11th June at 3.35pm - 4.00pm.

Year 4 Parent Workshop - Wednesday, 22nd May..............
A reminder Year 4 parents are invited to attend a parent workshop, as below (please note time changes to classes Nile and Murray)
Class Nile will be held at 9am - 9.40am... Class Murray will be held at 9.50am - 10.30am Class Yangtze will be held at 10.40am - 11.20am
All workshops will be held in KS2 hall.

Polling Days and Bank Holiday May 2019 - school closures
A reminder that school is closed on:
- Thursday, 2nd May for Local Elections. Children are expected back at school on Friday, 3rd May 2019.
... - Monday, 6th May is also closed to children as this is Bank Holiday. Children are expected back at school on Tuesday, 7th May.
- Thursday, 23rd May for European Elections. Children are expected back at school on Friday, 24th May.

Easter holiday.......
- Children are now on Easter break and school will reopen on Monday, 29th April.
- Parents/children going on the Dear Zoo, Birmingham Hippodrome trip on Friday, 12th April are expected to arrive at school (KS2 hall) for 11.30am (11.45am departure). You are welcome to bring drinks/snacks along with you.
... - During the holiday Yr 6 children will be attending maths booster club (you and your child have been been notified of times and dates)

Thank you to all our parents/carers who attending Year 3's showcase assembly.

Year 2 - Olympic themed day.........
We have an olympic themed day for our new topic called "bounce" in Year 2 on the first day back (Monday 29th April)
As a reminder, Year 2 children can come in sportswear.

Year 1 - Dudley Zoo trip (10th April 2019)...........
If your child is going to Dudley Zoo, children must:
- wear full uniform (including comfortable shoes and a coat)... - bring a carrier bag - bring a packed lunch if you have not arranged for your child to receive a school packed lunch. - not bring any money

A reminder it is Wear-a-hat-to-school-day tomorrow (Friday, 29th March). Children can wear any hat they wish for £1 donation in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
