Happy #internationaldanceday!!! Dancing is a huge part of all our performances and we have a great collection of Choreographers who bring out the dancer in all of us.
Can you work out which shows these photos are from?

Tilly, our star canine performer, is getting ready for dress rehearsals.
She may play the runaway street dog, Sandy, but that doesn't mean she has to actually smell like one.
She will be all ready for Annie to open on Wednesday 17th April.

Finally, you’re thinking there’s only one song everyone knows from Annie and that is Tomorrow. This classic is performed an number of times during the show. Our final offering is one of the more unfamiliar versions. President Roosevelt and his cabinet devise the 'New Deal' after meeting Annie. The New Deal was all about investing to America to create jobs and prosperity.
Here is Roosevelt’s Cabinet being cajouled to sing Annie’s signature song, by the President. Enjoy and we'll see you at the Theatre later this week.

I hear ya, brat. I ALWAYS hear ya...why any kid would want to be an orphan, I'll never know.
Miss Hannigan, Natasha Beckett, and Annie, Eliza T, will never see eye to eye. Hannigan hates kids and Annie hates bullies.
Come see this pair fight it out in the musical Annie from Wednesday 17th April 2019.

Had a hard week? Is this here life drivin' you nuts? Fancy getting more bucks?
Well, if you are willing to 'stack the aces' or do 'something shady' then brother and sister team, Rooster and Aggie Hannigan as well as Lily St. Regis could help you get to 'Easy Street'.
... They might be willing to swindle a poor orphan out of a wonderful life and make her 'disappear' for good but they so very much want to get to where the rich folks play.

Congratulations Dawn Hughes on winning our Mother's Day competition! We will be in touch to find out for which performance you'd like two tickets.
Don't worry if you were not a winner this time, you can still get hold of tickets from www.tamworthartsandevents.co.uk. But be quick - two of the six shows only have a handful of single seats left...

With only one week to go, what better time to introduce you to the title character of our musical, Annie.
Annie is a spunky and optimistic orphan in New York in the 1930s, at the height of the Great Depression. She is mother hen to the other orphans in the orphanage but is desperately looking for her birth parents. When the opportunity to spend Christmas with the billionaire Oliver Warbuck arises Annie convinces his secretary to select her, and all their lives are turned up...side down.
The part of the boisterous Annie is being shared by two extremely talented young performers;
Lola G - Annie (Wed, Friday Evening, Saturday Matinee) Most of Lola’s time is spent dancing, singing, flipping or cartwheeling! She competes in dance and gymnastics competitions and has recently helped reopen Leicester’s Haymarket theatre by performing in Sandi Toksvig’s adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Treasure Island’. One of Lola’s favourite films has always been ‘Annie!’
Eliza Rose T - Annie (Thursday, Friday Matinee, Saturday Night) Eliza simply loves performing, she really feels at home on stage! She has played lots of different roles in school shows, with Theatrics Stage School and after winning parts in open auditions for theatre groups and in a pantomime! Eliza also loves dancing and does ballet, modern and tap lessons each week. In 2017 Eliza played an orphan in a production of Annie in Lichfield and is really excited to be taking on the lead role this time around!

Another principal role we would like to introduce you to is Oliver Warbucks. THE Oliver Warbucks, the billionaire business man who opens his home – and finally his heart – to little orphan Annie.
The role of Oliver Warbucks is being performed by James Gorton. James worked professionally for many years as a song and dance man onboard cruise ships worldwide for Holland-America and P&O Cruises (Southampton). He also played Hugh Cassidy in the Eva Cassidy Story UK Tour twice, a...s well as pantomimes up and down the country. He is now settled in Tamworth with his family and joined TMTC in 2013. His acting credits with TMTC include Reverend Moore (Footloose 2014), Dr. Prospero (Return to the Forbidden Planet 2016) and Captain Hook (Peter Pan 2017). He is now delighted to be playing Oliver Warbucks in Annie and it is a role he is relishing. 'It's nice not to playing the villain this time around'.
