ABOUT US
Tandoori Naan Hut (formerly known as North Street Feast) is a company that I started due to my passion of providing the public with high quality mouth-watering street food options, from around the world, at reasonable prices. We are a gourmet street food catering company who purchase locally sourced ingredients and produce from the North East region. Our menu items are freshly made and designed by North Street Feast, in house, for each event. We only use the best ingredients and produce from local Award Winning suppliers.
Tandoori Naan Hut aims to increase local trade and employment opportunities in the North East region. We train 16-24 year olds in acquiring their food hygiene certifications and give them an opportunity to work with North Street Feast at events and festivals. We have catered for Local / Farmers Markets and various events and festivals across the North East such as; Tynemouth Food Festival, EAT Festival, EAT OUT Festival, Food Heroes Festival, Summer Tyne Americana Festival, Sunderland Food & Drink Festivals, Kirkley Hall Festival, Toffee Factory Lunch Pop Up, Late Shows 2014, Cobalt Business Park lunch pop ups and Boiler Shop events. We also conduct Lunchtime Pop Ups, private functions for local event organisers and businesses such as Hewlett Packard and EE. We believe gourmet food should be available for all at a reasonable price with excellent quality in mind.
Our quirky purpose built van and the food we offer has become well known in the North East area due to the quality and range of food we offer. In addition to this we now have our pop up gazebo for outdoor events and our indoor catering food stall. If you are using our van for your event then our unit does not require a generator as we have specifically designed the unit to run without one.
We have a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating from Newcastle upon Tyne Council. All of our staff members have full valid Food Hygiene Certifications ranging from Level 2 to 4. We also have product, public, employee and legal liability cover of up to £5 million. We are able to provide valid gas and electrical certifications which are periodically renewed. In addition to this, we are premium members of NCASS Catering Association - therefore we are accredited to a high standard of practice, training and ongoing development.
