Sunday 15th April We have been advised that the Whitstable Bay Spring 5k and 10k run will have runners passing the club between 10am and 1130am this Sunday with both serious and fun runners taking part. Our racing starts at 11 this Sunday - so it would be helpful if those planning to sail allowed some extra time beforehand to rig and move their boats onto the beach. I'll be there from around 915 to help anyone who needs to move their boat across the path.

Hello all!
As we are coming to the end of the season (sad times), we have set a date for Sunday 12th November to close up for the winter and dismantle all the boats. We are planning to do this from 10:00am-13:00pm that day.
We plan on:
... 1. Clear the bank and cut the grass. 2. Dismantle all the cats and store beams and masts. 3. Remove all the boats from the beach and secure them. 4. We require ALL lockers to be emptied on this day as these will be being worked on throughout the winter to help make some more room and use the size more effectively in both the male and female changing rooms.
We reserve the right as a club to open any lockers that are not unlocked and cleared and will place any items in the Boson's locker until next season. The kit removed from the sailing shelves that have been underneath, will be moved to the crypt as what is left has not been claimed.
I believe the Commodore is trying to arrange bacon butties and hot drinks for all of you that turn up - so please inform either Ian or Tom whether you will be coming down to help.
As well as this - a message to all catamaran sailors - it would be great if we could have as many of you down as possible to dismantle the cats from the beach, as these do need to be moved and taken apart and it is hefty work with fewer people.
If you cannot make it, please still let either Tom or Ian know, as we need to get an idea of how many of you can help out.
I know there is another few races happening this Sunday, but thank you all for a fantastic season of fun sailing!
