great beer,great staff and the best open mic night ( last Friday of the month ) I've ever been to...a cracking pub...highly recomended.

Without a shadow of doubt, this is the best pub in Alnwick and up there with most traditional Freehouses nationally. Great ale, live music, unspoiled and made to feel very welcome by all.

Went in this pub a couple of times over the Christmas period, friendly staff, real fire, quality beers and sensible prices and a AWESOME Jukebox, nigel

Well kept, interesting proper beer, there is a juke box but the volume is low and the repertoire is interesting. Log stove sp warm and full of all sorts of folks chatting

We always go there when we visit Alnwick Went there last night with my husband for a drink before we went for a meal we had a great night great beers and the open mic was fab

We always call in at The Tanner's Arms when we stay in Alnwick, so last night was no exception.... As usual, really great barman, and a great bunch of customers..

Fantastic music on juke box, what more could you ask for? Great way to round off a lovely few days away. Thanks for having us.

Loved this little pub � Roaring fire, great beer � spent a whole Sunday afternoon in here and thouroughly enjoyed it. The young lady behind the bar was lovely to talk to and her local knowledge was superb � 5 stars!
