Went to a gig at Rock City and found this pub when we came out rock music, cool canvases on the walls, great atmosphere it was brilliant. Defo will be visiting again next time we are in notts !!!

We visited here this weekend cos we were staying in the Crowne Plaza across the road and liked the sound of Its only rock n roll but I like it so we thought wed give it a try. Cant fault it, perfect if you like heavy rock, good rock memorabilia on the walls and decent prices. Linda and Gav x

I love this place . I spent a lot of my time in here when I was going out in Nottingham and as a rock fan , it brings back some great memories

Had a great time in this goth/metal pub which we found by accident. Friendly staff and clientele and great live music. Cheap prices too.

Had a great night watching Exhibit A, the PA was set up just right for the band and sounded brill.

A good range of beers and a friendly biker feel to the pub. Well recommended for a great night out.

Great to see that the recent refresh hasn't spoilt the tap. Been visiting on a Thursday for years. Bar staff are brilliant, don't have to order they pour it automatically! A truely legendary rock pub.

Fantastic friendly pub, great atmosphere and amazing staff. just wish I lived in Nottingham so it could be my new local. I will definitely be popping in for a drink next time I visit the city

Came along Friday 9th Dec The best rock pub I've been to in along time. This was my second visit and it won't be my last especially if the mighty Thunder Chunky are playing!!

Blinding bar !! Only here for the weekend and trying to figure out a way to pick the pub up and take it with us.

Been drinking in the Tap since I was 18...Daily back in the crazy 80s and early 90s hairspray and lipstick days.. I'm 50 now and it's still the first place I head for when back in Notts even though I've lived in Leicester for 25 years.. Great pub and a part of my life . Long live the Rat and Rumble xxx

First visit from out of town. Good beer, good music and caught up with a mate while waiting for a gig to start. Loved the gents door... Having a Slash lol
