Beautifully made C60 in for repair. You can tell a good quality frame by how clean the layers sand down when removing the damage. Clean concentric rings through the layers show that they went down smooth and compacted uniformly during moulding. To save money the customer opted to have the orange detail finished in black. We finished the other side to match as leaving something unbalanced is just too upsetting!

The latest 110 to come through our doors. Quite an interesting one. It was sourced from an ex employee of Aerodyne, the company is South Africa who manufactured the frames in the 90's. The frame was never fully finished so all the seams are exposed showing the frame construction. We've just had a set of new dropouts machined and we'll be creating a new seatpost mount. Finally we'll clean it all up, airbrush the seams and clear coat everything so the carbon weave gleams.

A YT Capra in for a repair to the head tube. With the wall thickness being so thick on a mountain bike like this only a small amount of the damage is visible. The majority is below the surface in the form of delamination between the layers. Quite a fun one to work on in respect to both recreating the complex form and the paint work.

Having stumbled across the tooling for the carbon tyre levers we made a few years ago I thought it might be nice to make a batch and raffle them off for charity. Something along the lines of £2.50 ticket then buy as many as you like. Big question is which charity should the money go to? Something cycling related? Everyone's input would be much appreciated.

The reflective paint that Specialized use on some of their frames is quite clever stuff.

A gang of S5's and a tag along R5 in from Team GB

One more before I get out in the sunshine for a ride! A super six converted to Di2 and resprayed in purple to blue flip paint. More subtle than some of the other flip paints out there.

A Trek Domane resprayed in a solid red gradually fading to orange with a gold pearl over everything. Checker pattern fades and rolling dice graphic give it a 50's hot rod feel in my opinion. Then there is the flawlessly designed Chris king hugs and Hope brakes. Finally custom Enve graphics!

A Giant Avail brought in with a fracture to the down tube. Quite a clean area of damage and an enjoyable job to match the paint work back in.

Hands down the best present we have received from a customer!

This S-works Tarmac was brought in with what looked like a scratch by the front mech hanger. The ultrasound really came into it's own on this job showing quite extensive damage below the surface that wasn't visible to the eye. It looks like the front mech took an impact and compressed against the frame. The hard edge of the hanger, point loaded did all the damage which spread quite a distance below the surface.

A selection of current projects we have on. Storck F.3 Aston Martin edition with broken dropout, custom colour matched graphics for a set of ENVE RIMS and a Lotus 110 in for restoration and a reproduction set of forks.

User

A satisfyingly full rail of frames just in and an equally refreshing rail of frames ready to go out.

Anyone got a spare £93,000?

Another Lotus 110 refurbished and on its way back home to the States.

One of the highlights of this year. Full restoration and build of a Lotus 110 including replica forks and custom saddle mount. This will be the second one of these icons we’ve worked on. We’re just about to finish another that came over from a customer in the States and then there is yet another on it’s way to us from Germany!

A Cipollini Bond that had a fault running the length of the head tube and delamination caused by the chain dropping. A large clean surface area and zero delamination around a quantified fault meant the head tube was a perfect candidate for repair.

The Specialized epic with rock strike damage we featured a few weeks ago now resprayed in Nardo grey with matching fork lowers. This colour goes extremely well with tan sidewall tyres in my opinion. Looking forward to seeing the full build!
