We had a birthday meal here on Saturday night, the service and food was fantastic. There was over 20 of us in the party yet the food came out on time, hot and was delicious. We couldn't praise the waiting staff and chef highly enough. For most us us it was our first time eating here but we all commented we'd defiantly be going back.
Visited for the first time last night, and what a cool, quirky place in East-the-Water! Food was delicious (especially the strip steak and massive onion rings), service was great and music was spot on for this American-style diner. Shall be coming back again soon!
Just visited Tarka Diner for the first time for breakfast ,first impressions were really great ,a lot of time and effort has been put into the diner concept .The menu was very diner themed which was fun , and the whole feel when you enter is of a very clean,sharp restaurant .The food was outstanding , one of the best breakfasts i have had in the area ,staff were friendly and attentive .What more can i say ,if you live in the area please go and support local people trying to do something different for the area.I wish them all the best ,we will return bringing the whole family this time see you then
Finally went ..... loved it. Came back in the afternoon with the kids for a meal. Burger and chicken nuggets - gorgeous and a great price. Tarka burger was really tasty and great offers. The staff were friendly and the booth seats so comfy, the place looks amazing.
Been twice. Once for a Birthday Party and on the other occasion for breakfast. Can’t say enough good things about the place. Found the food great and the staff welcoming. Could have a better range of beer and wine. But that’s being picky.
We visited for the first time today, we booked as we thought it would be busy being fathers day, it was busy and the staff were apologetic about forgetting to bring our drinks after waiting 15 minutes so gave my husband a free budweiser, the food was great we all had something different and all were impressed, it's table service so that was a nice surprise. The diner is very well furnished and really reminded me of a diner in an American film also loved the 60's music. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for great food and customer service
Bright, fun and colourful place tucked away. Lots of space for parents with babies in prams. Very impressed with the amount of choice of food and drinks available. Amazing price, food came out quickly and piping hot. Will be coming back soon!
The place looked great and the lady serving our table was very nice and most apologetic to us even though we hadn’t complained and sat patiently with our 4 year old. I don’t know if our food order had been forgotten or if there was another reason, but we hadn’t been informed why our food took 80 minutes from ordering (it wasn’t very busy).
Sadly it was disappointing to say the least.
My 4 young adult children visited today. I had heard great things about this diner, however, Beans like bullets, grease ball hash browns, burnt bacon and to top it off nearly a £40 bill for 4 breakfasts, 2 basic milkshakes and 2 pepsi!
We wont be returning and im sure the kids will be telling all their friends not to go there either. Were they overcharged because they were kids or is this the extortionate regular price - certainly wasnt worth that!
