Tasnim's Henna Art

I started doing henna art when I was 11 years old, when I was at school I would always love doing henna art, even in my art classes I would include henna designs into everything I drew or painted, it was always fancy flowers and squiggles. It became a habit to do it wherever and whenever and then I realised it was a hobby for me. Growing up, I would walk around with henna tubes asking everyone at home whether or not they wanted it done on their hands, when Eid was near I would always encourage people to have henna on their hands, it was exciting to see a lot of people wearing henna especially because I was so facinated about the colours and designs. In my early teenage years I stopped doing mehndi and went on studying for the first years of my high school, one day my mother went shopping and brought home a mehndi cone, I was startled and didn't really know what to say, and then on the very same day, She asked me to henna her hands. When all was done, her hands looked wonderful, my hands were cramped and painfully throbbing but my passion was again ignited! I was so happy and straight away I wanted to carry on what I started.
