It was a pleasure to serve Nigel Benn at Tasty Bites today

Went with my sister Jenny, a regular customer, and it was a 1st for me. Warm and welcoming staff , nothing too much trouble and a lovely friendly atmosphere + our food was great too !! :) Will deffo be coming back xxx

Very good, best cafe I’ve visited in Benfleet so far....



Decent ketchup, decent sausages and bacon, nice black pudding.



Service was also top notch even after we spilled salt everywhere.....

Very comfortable surroundings , has been refurbished to a very high standard , service was excellent , and food was quick and very lovely , they use proper bread ,, doorstop not ,, other stuff say no more , never left a crumb and was good value ,, highly recommend for wholesome and hearty food or just a quick snack , noting too much trouble �

Took mum here for her 60th lunch treat... oh what a treat it was. We had Mexican panini and home made cheesecake for pudding. The staff even came out (not asked) and sang happy birthday to mum. We all had a great day. Thank you x

The people are great the foods great service is also great what could one ask for oh yes the price was also good to so what are you waiting for get on down to tasty bites as soon as you can

My mum & I went back to Tasty Bites after a spell eating at various venues. Mum had a coronation chicken salad sandwich and I had sausage & egg omelette (not on the menu). We arrived unaware they were actually about to close, but they only told us that after preparing our meal. We wondered why we were the only ones there! haha. Anyway, I must say, that their service as always, was sublime and the food was well prepared. They are a little pricey compared with their sister cafe's on Canvey, but we use the Benfleet one now and then because of the quality of food and service which has always exceeded our expectations.

I usually go at least once a week with my husband for lunch and always have excellent service and lovely prepared fresh food. Even if you want something not on the menu e.g nachos and cheese they are always happy to do for you. Would recommend 100%.

Had full English breakfast, well worth the money, was delicious, couldn’t fault a thing. Staff brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Nicely spaced tables. Will def return x

Came here for the first time yesterday with my daughter and niece. The Staff were nice and friendly, food was amazing lovely place will definitely come back.

Popped in for a late lunch, our first visit. Very impressed with the decor, the service and the menu - perfect for us with plenty of choice. Hubby had the full English, which, I understand has been voted the 2nd best in Benfleet, and I had a Croque Provencal, which was very tasty. This came with a decent salad garnish and some plain nachos. Well done, hope to be back again.

I just went for the first time since its revamp. Very inviting.. lovely layout and staff very polite and friendly. Food was very nice and special detail to presentation was very good. But!! What had been a nice friendly place to just pop into for quick lunch or coffee is now more a place you'd pop in occasionally as prices rather high now.

Usually we get really good service and the food is nice too, we did end up losing track of time and was there past 5 along with some other customers but then one of your members of staff started putting all the chairs up on the tables around us slamming them down like she was dropping a hint for us to leave which I thought was very rude.

Nice food however the waiting time of 45 mims let it down a bit but they were busy but still it shouldn’t have taken that long.

The food that was coming out looked good. But after waiting for an hour for our food, with 2 fed up kids, we decided to leave - after a few enquiries about the whereabouts of our food we were at last told it was "just being put on". We'd ordered a bacon sandwich, tuna mayo sandwich with chips & a child's sausage, egg & chips which didn't warrant an hours wait. It was busy, full capacity which was too much really. Very disappointed with our experience so won't be rushing back.

Looks good and like the decor. Menu overpriced and basic. Only a few children's options, odd when it's next to a school! My meal had an ingredient missing and was bland, my son asked for a plain smoked salmon sandwich and it came filled with salad and cream cheese-no child portion. Could easily be made better and have a more modern updated menu. Staff could have made more of an effort to sort the two errors with our order. £30 for three of us to have a simple lunch is a lot!!

Went in tasty bites last Thursday with my daughter and aunt, looked at menu and as nothing on there I wanted I asked if I could just have 2 poached eggs on 2 toast. Waitress went off to ask and came back with a "no" It's not on the menu. No sorry nothing so I sulked and then watched my aunt eat what looked like a yummy breakfast and my daughter had a chicken wrap. No complaints on the breakfast but my daughters wrap was all soggy from what we think was oil on the garnish so she left it. All dust fell from the open grilled ceiling into my tea so had to get a replacement, went up to pay, we had 2 teas 1 milkshake a chicken wrap and the first breakfast on the menu and it came to £19.75!!! Which I think was a total rip off, so will never step foot in there again, shame as we often used to go in before it closed for refurb.
