Tavistock Tyres - Team Protyre

My car died on the way home from work tonight. The engine management light came on & I lost all power!! Left it at the garage & hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow. Apparently the coil had gone. On the plus side the nice macanic there gave me a lift back to Plymouth, now that's what I call customer service 😀 thank you guys.

Dropped in whilst passing for a puncture repair and really wish we'd gone to our usual garage. After asking them to be careful they damaged my new 18" alloy on the rim where the machine caught it. As well as a deep notch it also scuffed a couple of centimetres of the rim.

I then had the inconvenience of arranging to take the car back out to them on 2 separate occasions for them to assess the damage.
In the end I had the wheel repaired locally to me and they paid for it.
They were apologetic but it was inconvenient and my wheel has a repair and is no longer factory original :-(.

Looking at other reviews this seems to be a recurring theme, a bit of a shame really.

Used to live in the area a while ago and used to give this place my business.
Had my car serviced with them which they rushed as they wanted to get the job done before a bank holiday. I personally did not need my the car any time soon, so personally wound't mind if they took their time.
The result was a car which I had to return 3 times and they failed to replace the oil filter properly, causing my car to cut out shortly after starting, which is incredibly dangerous.
Not only this, but because they were rushing with my car they forgot to put a cover in the drivers foot well when working on it, resulting in black oily footprints in my car.
In the end they did sort my car out, but providing no compensation for their poor service, other than polite apologies.
They're okay if you need new tyres, but besides that, would not recommend.

Quick services, excellent customer service and very very nice people. Had my car tyres seen into less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend !

HAD 4 TYRES FITTED ABSOLUTE SHOCKING SERVICE START TO FINISH I HAD TO GO BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY TO HAVE THEM REBALANCED AS THE WEIGHTS FELL OFF ! , (THEY TRIED CHARGING ME FOR THIS) WAITED 50 MINS FOR THIS TO BE SORTED WHILST MOST OF THE STAFF WERE STANDING AROUND CHATTING AWAY
1 DAY LATER THE WHEEL BALANCING IS STILL NO GOOD
