Fat Rascals.
Quick, before The Betty’s Of Harrogate Corporation®️ send in the heavies.

User

Happy Birthday to us! T&Cake is SEVEN years old!
Thanks to all our wonderful customers, terrific suppliers and amazing staff for making us the smashing little place we are.

User

The kitchen smells heavenly. Orange, lime, mint, oregano, cumin, garlic, coriander...
This can only mean one thing...
💥🇨🇺🇨🇺THE CUBANO IS COMING BACK! 🇨🇺🇨🇺💥
... We should be grillin’ on Friday, all being well.

Our front door still isn’t 100%, but at least it’s working!

User

Opening late today folks. Lock on our front door finally gave up the ghost. We should be up and running by 10am.

User

Good Morning! We will be open today at 10am. Just a little bit more tidying up and drying out to do to make sure we’re our usual glamorous selves following Saturday’s flood.
Many thanks for your patience.

User

We have had a rather impressive flood at the café, and therefore will be closed today (and possibly Monday). Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

User

Chocolate Babka. Here, but not for long!

User

We’re now closed until Tuesday. Enjoy your Easters, everyone.
Or the Egg-rabbits will come for you in the night.

User

The Sausage & Egg ‘TcMuffin’®️.
Homemade pork and bacon patty, fried egg, Edam on a toasted muffin.
Just don’t tell on us.

User

OK folks, sorry, but we will be closed today, as staff are having trouble getting in and/or full of cold.
Hopefully we’ll be up and at it tomorrow. We’ll keep you informed.
Many apologies if this is inconvenient.

User

I like this idea.

User

Might they now?
Folks, if you ever see us peddling this demented nonsense you have my permission to throw the cup through the front window.
How utterly revolting.

User

Ho. Ho. Ho!
The Christmas sandwiches have arrived. Sage and onion soup coming soon, too.
And don’t forget we do vouchers, for the cake-lovers in your lives.

Friend of T&Cake, and extremely accomplished author , Catherine Curzon, will be at Almondbury Library tomorrow!

User

I would like to thank my wonderful kitchen crew at T&C for stepping in (yet again) whilst I recover from a particularly bad case of man-flu. We're lucky to have you.
Katie, Chami, Conor, you're brilliant. x

User

Gateau Reine Elizabeth, a Canadian classic. Squishy date and pecan cake topped with crunchy coconut. Here, but not for too much longer! 🇨🇦

User

Specials ahoy!

User

We are now ready for your Pumpkin Spice Latte needs.

Visited today with my mum and sister to cheer ourselves up after a frustrating and disappointing morning. It was just the ticket. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and exceptionally delicious. I would highly recommend anyone to pop in whenever you can.

User

This is a cosy, quirky place indeed! The food is excellent! The owners are friendly and welcoming, as are the staff. We four friends meet there every Wednesday, but don't just take our word for it! Try it yourself - you won't be disappointed!

User

Popped in today after a walk to the park. Made to feel very welcome even with a buggy. Great choice of food and drinks and very well priced. I thought i got a decent sized cappucino for £2.50 definately not a rip off like blacker hall farm. Ill be going again for sure. Thank you.

User

My favourite place. Everything perfect and the staff go above and beyond. If you havnt been before I can highly recommend T&Cake x

User

Keep going back, that says it all, always been looked after, and the food is good.

User

Just by chance I came across this lovely coffee shop. They know how to make good coffee being a coffee snob that I am. 😆 Had a great carrot cake with it. Highly recommend it.

Will return. Xx

User

I have been to TandCake on numerous occasions and I have always found the food to be of an exceptionally high standard. The staff have always been pleasant and efficient on my visits and it is surprising how busy it can get especially at the lunchtime. Keep up with the good work.

User

I adore this place! The food is delicious and locally sourced, there are books to read, It's cute, the staff are lovely, top marks all round!!

User

Cosy and friendly, fabulous food and drink choices - absolutely delicious all ! Over 100 cookbooks on display and evidently read, an outstanding and memorable lunch in a day of exploring remote countryside.

User

Best eggs Benedict I've had! Generous portions and I love the t&chai. The scones are delicious too. Compliments to the chef, would definitely recommend!

User

Awesome independent cafe/t-room, lovely menu, a mixture of classics and originals, always perfectly executed. Specially blended tea too. Love it.

User

Absolutely amazing. So much choice and the food was to die for. Will definitely be coming back

My brother and I went for lunch on Tuesday. The food was great as was the staff and the place was busy. Unfortunately the attitude of the owner lets the whole experience down. She is downright rude and doesn't make you feel welcome at all. We split the bill. I paid by card my bro paid cash. When he suggested he paid by card she more or less told him he couldn't. She was really offensive

User

Lovely place for coffee and cake. Service with a smile and I absolutely LOVED the Carrot and Ginger Cake (made in-house!)

Only problem I have is trying to get down 2 steps with a pram BUT once we’re inside it’s lovely

I say I didn't like it but I didn't get the opportunity to experience it! I rang the day before to see if I could reserve a table for eight of us but was told very abruptly that tables couldn't be reserved. Fair enough, I thought and said we'd just turn up and take pot luck. However, when two of us arrived, we were told they did not cater for eight but had tables only for two or four with no guarantee that we would be near each other. We could only be seated when all the party arrived, despite that being irrelevant as we were to be split up. I have no objection to a business making up its own rules, however irrational they may seem to me, but I do object to initially being ignored upon arrival, not having been told that they would not be able to cater for eight of us on the phone and generally being treated without a modicum of politeness. I would regard good humour and a general liking for your fellow man to be a near essential quality in running a service industry business. The cakes looked lovely but I can bake very well too, so next time, I'll invite my fellow widows round to my place where hopefully I'll be able to greet them with a smile and make them feel welcome.

We ended up down the road at the community cafe where we were fussed over, had tables moved for us and nothing was too much trouble.

User

Disappointing service upon arrival. The lady serving was pretty abrupt and short in her manner and when asked about food gave us some firm short answers. I needed to know about the texture of some food because of a medical condition. It felt like we were rushed and the abrupt answers forced us to leave. We had been waiting months to try out the place since moving over here but we're so disappointed. The menu sounds beautiful it's just a shame we won't get to try any of it. We really did not receive a warm welcome.

User

We left before being served as we felt we were ignored by the staff , not everybody who stops for lunch has all the time in the world. Some people just need a quick pit stop . Lady on the counter very abrupt after barking at us telling us where to sit then again when we dared to approach the counter with an enquiry. We sat and waited as we had been instructed to do but left as nobody seemed interested in taking our order. The cafe wasn't overly busy with only 3 tables occupied.

User

Member of staff exceptionally rude to us which spoilt the experience. Tea was lovely, the cake was on the dry side. Highly unlikely we'd visit again.

User

I have put I hated it because to be honest myself and disabled son have never been able to get beyond the doorway. We have tried 4 or 5 times to enter and been turned every time. We were told each time they were closed when clearly they still had customers. The times varied too but around Saturday lunchtime. I feel it was directly as a result of my son's loud behaviour that we were told to leave. My son has autism.
