Well, it has been a week of cakes indeed! From birthdays to a very special anniversary cake - a replica of the bride and groom's wedding cake from 60 years ago! But this one is egg free (including the Royal icing) so the bride can enjoy a piece of cake herself!
Fear not though, there is still plenty of cake available in the tearoom today! From caramel slice, to chocolate brownie, to mint chocolate cake! Pop in and enjoy a slice!

Wonderful hidden gem York Road in the middle of, Victoria Ward Hartlepool. I take my working lunches here when I have the time and need a break from my office. I also has a lovely afternoon taking afternoon tea here for my 420th Birthday with my beautiful and so so strong Auntie Marie. A beautiful day last week. It even snowed and hailed a little. Magical. Felt like I was inside a snow globe in Narnia xx

What an amazing place, would give it more stars if I could!! Loved everything about it - the tea, the food, the staff and the company!! Hope to take a few friends next time, they need to experience this gem of a place! xx

We went there on my son's recommendation as he often goes there with his friends. We sat upstairs and enjoyed a board game whilst waiting for our lunch. Paninis and toasty were all delicious as were the Brownie milkshakes. Very relaxed and safe environment especially for young people to hang out during evenings.

Tea-at-Hart is a great place for family and friends to meet up, everyone is very friendly and happy to help, they have a wide array of games to play and plenty of great food and drink to try. me, my wife,9yr old daughter and 17yr old son love visiting as much as we can. i could write pages of great things about tea@hart but why not find out for your self what a treasure it is and visit as soon as you can.

My only grumble is that it's not slightly closer to home. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and knowledgable (on both cake and games!), and the atmosphere is great. If it wasn't for the 20-30 minute drive, Tea@Hart could easily become our home from home :) If you've never been, go. Then go again. And again. Oh, there's a loyalty card too!

I visited tea at hart with my husband for the first time this week as a belated valentine treat. We had booked afternoon tea which was gorgeous, freshly prepared and baked. We spent the afternoon eating and playing games in a lovely environment. We couldn't resist extra cake too. The staff were so friendly and helpful will definitely go back.

I love this place, I often visit with my sister for tea and cakes, always lovely. The only negative I would have is that they no longer serve clotted cream with the scones and instead serve whipped cream, which quickly turns to a milky texture when spread.

I hate everyone that's ever been in there before and never told me about this place, it's amazing. Staff are so nice, food is top quality, price is a steal. It's honestly like walking into the most chilled out, friendliest place in Hartlepool, you can sit enjoy your food, chat and play a game with friends, family even a complete stranger. You definitely have a customer for life, can not praise this place, the staff or owner enough. It's a masterclass on how to run a business, can't believe such a place exists, and here in Hartlepool, people should definitely go for Tea at Hart....lepool

Had my first visit here on Saturday with some friends, can't recommend this place highly enough. The atmosphere was excellent, the staff were great. Food and tea were brilliant, and if that's not enough they have a collection of great games to play too. Can't wait to go back again.

Had afternoon tea today and have to say its one of the best I've ever had. It was a good even mix of sandwiches and scones/cakes, the sandwiches having a good amount of filling on a selection of white & brown bread. Big pot of tea made from tea leaves & if you didnt want tea, you could have coffee, latte, hot chocolate, green tea etc. Would recommend & will definitely be back.

Had a fabulous afternoon tea yesterday with a friend and our two little ones. Plates of fruits for the children and when they find out my daughter was dairy free two small dairy free ham sandwich arrived so she could join in too. Will definitely be booking afternoon tea with them again. Thank you.

Fantastic venue! We turned up late on a Sunday with a hoard of children (aged 2-7) and Jeni was so accommodating. There was a place for the children to play quietly and areas for us adults to sit and rest. The food was amazing and so much on offer for gluten free!



It's the only cafe I'll go to in Hartlepool from now on!

Fabulous light lunch at Tea at Hart enjoyed by all members of the family. Tasty fresh food served in a friendly environment and excellent value for money. What more could you ask for - except a slice of their homemade cakes! Glad we are close by!

Came for afternoon tea today and the service was fantastic. My girls loved their teddy bear tea (which smelt lovely too) and the choice was just enough for both them and us two adults.



We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the girl serving was lovely explaining how it worked and what our choices were etc. Fantastic little treat for my girls and their grandma. We can’t wait to come again :)

Amazing place, I've been visiting regularly for the past 8 months now and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty, staff are welcoming and very encouraging for new faces at games night too. I recently visited again for afternoon tea which was superb so naturally I asked Jeni to make my daughters birthday cake. This was well received by everybody who wanted to know where I'd got it from! I've brought friends along who live 75 miles away and all want to visit again! I have no hesitation recommending this little gem to anyone who asks :)

Absolutely brilliant!! This place was recommended to me as a safe accepting space for my son as he struggles in public; so we both can relax and enjoy our time. This is the first place we have been able to spend 2 hours having nothing but fun and amazing food and drinks. This is now going to be our regular place � friendly and accepting staff couldn't ask for anymore.

A hidden little gem, this place could be twice the size in a year or two, once word spreads. Food and drink is really good by any standard..but the board games and table top gaming community sets this place apart. Amazing place, great atmosphere and lovely staff...try it you might just like it.

On a time limited lunch break n Called in today ,ordered a soup , a scone n 2 cups of tea, unfortunately waited 25 mins for it to arrive �thought at least we could have been served the cups of tea to soften the blow

A really disappointing visit. I'm partial to the odd coffee shop or two and love supporting local businesses over the big chains - so this ones been on my list for a while

Firstly- The tables were left uncleared after customers had left-

The cafe was very cold

We ordered -and almost to the amusement of the guy who served us told us he was on his own so it would be a little while - well he wasn't kidding !!!!! 20 mins later !!!! And we are still waiting !!!!! He's chatting away to his friends who keep arriving and yes he's making drinks - but at a snails pace- finally it arrives.

The chocolate cake arrives - and not the portions cut on the display - clearly only to get you to buy some - but half the size -

I'm saddened - I really wanted to like it here but i really don't
