Join us on Thursday 30th March for a *FREE* taste of our delightful Taiwan Alishan High Mountain Tea
Taiwan Alishan High Mountain Tea is one of our favourite green oolongs. The hand rolled, emerald-green leaves yield a bright yellow liquid and offer a rich floral aroma reminiscent of a luxurious bouquet with a smooth and creamy texture. The finish offers a long sweet aftertaste. It is also very refreshing and invigorating, making it a perfect cup to consume during the day
Al...ishan is a famous high mountain in Taiwan with an altitude of more than 2600m. Its breathtaking views and natural beauty make it a popular tourist destination too. Our Alishan oolong comes from Chiayi at an altitude of 1600m. The high altitude of the tea garden results in a slow growth due to lower temperature. The well-balanced humidity and sunlight help the tea leaves develop their superb and unique depth of flavour
This lightly oxidized green oolong has many virtues and is believed by Chinese medicine to benefit the health of the respiratory system

Last weekend our oolong teas drew many customersŌĆÖ attention and interest, with Phoenix Dang Cong Honey Orchid proving to be the most popular choice. Join us on Friday 24th March for a *FREE* sample of this delicious tea
Phoenix Dang Cong Honey Orchid is a black oolong that comes from Chaozhou, Guangdong province in China, a famous tea growing region with more than 1000 years of tea production history. The use of wild tea trees is an important custom in this region, with each ...tree usually left unpruned and allowed to grow to its natural height. Leaves are harvested from one single tree, producing a uniquely high quality product. This is reflected in the name Dang Cong, which means ŌĆ£Individual Tea TreeŌĆØ
The long, dark and twisted leaves of Phoenix Honey Orchid produce a peach coloured liquid with a sweet honey based flavour, giving a complex, robust and pleasant lingering aftertaste. We highly recommend it be brewed in Gong Fu tea style with multiple infusions to gradually reveal the nuanced tastes of peach, honey and citrus along with a roasted flavour
Chaozhou people like to drink Dan Cong oolong tea in order to balance their rich diet. This tea is a very good accompaniment to a heavy meal, believed to soothe the stomach and aid digestion

Looking for a perfect Mothers' day gift or a delicious treat for yourself? We welcome you to explore our range of oolong teas and try a *FREE* sample. Oolong teas offer the most exciting, rich and diverse tastes that are highly admired by tea connoisseurs around the world
During processing the tea leaves are stirred regularly to expose them to oxygen. A longer stirring and firing process helps develop fruity, woody and roasted taste; less stirring and firing process helps... develop a light, sweet and floral taste. So oolong teas fall between green and black tea in flavour
Regular consumption of oolong tea is believed to have a sliming effect by stimulating the metabolising of lipids. It has anti-stress and calming effects due to its high concentration of aromatic oils released naturally from the leaves, reducing fatigue and helping to slow the effects of aging due to its antioxidant properties. The naturally occurring fluoride found in tea can help to maintain dental health. Oolong teas also makes an excellent digestive tea which will soothe your stomach after meals

Join us on Thursday 16th March for a *FREE* sample of white peony, one of our favourite everyday white teas
One silver bud and two green leaves yield a fresh apricot coloured liquid with a honeyed, thirst-quenching, mildly sweet, pleasant fruity taste. The clean, soft and smooth texture make it a perfect all-day cup
This tea is named after the shape of the tea leaves and is harvested a week after the more famous Silver Needle white tea which comes from the same tea bush. It u...ndergoes a slow sun drying process, then the withered leaves are roasted over charcoal at a low temperature
Our white peony comes from an organic tea garden at Nine Peaks Mountains in Fuding City, Fujian Province, China. The remote location, 1000m high, with slightly acidic soil and partially shaded growing conditions provide this tea with an exceptionally pure taste
White tea is known as the most minimally processed of all tea families, with only slight oxidisation. The leaves retain most of their natural shape. Whilst it contains less caffeine, as preferred by many drinkers, the abundance of antioxidants are just as effective as with green tea
Like green and yellow tea, white tea has a cooling effect which helps to extract excessive internal heat. In recent years, white tea has become more and more popular outside of China due to its highly-prized health benefits. It was first used as medicine in China due its believed effectiveness in treating illnesses such as Chicken Pox and Measles as well as some skin diseases, inflammation, fever and dental problems. The Fuding locals even have an old saying ŌĆ£ńÖĮĶīČ’╝ÜõĖĆÕ╣┤µś»ĶīČ’╝īõĖēÕ╣┤µłÉĶŹ»’╝ īõĖāÕ╣┤õĖ║Õ«ØŌĆØ, which describes the uses of the processed tea leaves as ŌĆ£First year is tea, aged three years it becomes medicine, seven years later it becomes treasureŌĆØ

What tea do we recommend drinking in the morning?
According to Chinese medicine, various types of tea contribute different health benefits. When choosing teas we should not only look at which are good for us, but also consider what time we are looking to drink them. After a night's sleep our body is inactive, so it is recommend to have black tea after breakfast to help blood circulation, warming up the body and supplying adequate oxygen to the brain. Due to the oxidation unde...rgone by the leaves during the manufacturing process the caffeine in black tea is released more rapidly into the bloodstream over a shorter period compared to green tea
Tea aids digestion by helping eliminate sugars and fats. However, drinking tea on an empty stomach can affect the absorption of iron and calcium from foods. Therefore, it is recommended to drink tea half an hour after meals
Our unsmoked Lapsang Souchong tea from the small Tong Mu Guan village in Wu Yi Mountains of Fu Jian Province Southeastern China makes a perfect morning black tea with a natural sweetness and delicate flavour, providing a morning energy boost

This is our most popular Jasmine tea - Xiao Long Zhu. These pearls are carefully infused with real jasmine flowers to give a divine aroma that lasts over many infusions. The taste is sweet, light and refreshing
For jasmine pearls, a bud and sprig is picked then hand rolled into a pearl shape and dried as a green tea and set aside until the jasmine flowers come into season. The pearls are then mixed in with freshly picked jasmine flowers and left to absorb the flavour and aroma of the jasmine. The tea is then separated from the flowers and allowed to dry. In order to ensure the tea leaves have a strong enough fragrance, the same process will be repeated another 6 times
Jasmine flowers are believed to relieve tension, circulate blood vessels around the eyes and help to relax the muscles. It's a perfect cup to enjoy after a long day of work
