KartChamps 2018 is just around the corner and here is everything you need to know:
When? Qualifiers: Wednesday 29th (<80kg) and Thursday 30th (80kg>) of August Regional Final: Monday 10th September
... What time? Qualifiers: 29th = 17:45 on track, 17:05 arrival, 30th = 18:30, 17:50 arrival. Regional Final: <75kg 18:00 on track, 17:20 arrival, 75kg> 20:00 on track, 19:30 arrival.
Where? Qualifiers: TeamSport Southampton Regional Final: TeamSport Reading
What? 30 minute practice, 30 minute race with driver eliminations. To move onto the Regional Final at Reading then the National/Overall Final at Coventry (Brand New Track!)
Can I enter? You can enter if you are 16yrs+ and are a member but don't need any previous experience to become a member. Memberships are £19.95 for a year and have many perks included.
How much is it? £35 for the qualifier, £35 for the regional final, national/overall final is free :)

Kart Champs- Eliminator-Style 30minute practice, 30 minute race, top 3 qualify for regional final. 29.08 <80kg KartChamps Qualifier 1745 on track... 30.08 8-kg> KartChamps Qualifier 1830 on track
Weight Watchers- 10 minute qualifier, 40 minute race w/ weight calcuator 20.09 1900 on track
Triathlon Series- 10 minute qualifier, 15 minute race (best lap), 15 minute race (smallest gap between best and average lap) and 15 minute race (most laps). 3 Part Series, points system. 04.10 PT1 1900 on track 15.11 PT2 1900 on track 10.12 PT3 1900 on track
All events are £35 per person, the Triathlon events can either be paid individually or £90 for the 3-part series pass.
All events are subject to cancellation or change. Events will only be cancelled due to safety or not enough drivers participating.

WE'RE BRINGING BACK THE TRIATHLON EVENT
This series event runs Oct-Dec over three events with a points system which is added up over all events to determine the overall winner. This event was successful last year and is designed to hold more than 12 drivers to initiate the weight categories which will make this more fair as well as interesting.

GOSPORT/SOUTHAMPTON CHARITY EVENT!

Our KartChamps 2018 Qualifiers are all booked in and are ready for you guys to enter.
Our qualifiers are running the week after the Gosport qualifiers meaning that you can try and qualify at Gosport but if you are not successful, can race at Eastleigh. Top 3 from each qualifier go on to race at the Regional Finals. All tracks within all regions are running qualifiers but depending on the region, is where you compete in the regional finals on the 10th of September, 8PM:

We booked last minute after being let down by another venue. Ashley and her colleagues were very welcoming and made the whole evening for the 14 of us really enjoyable. Would highly recommend for team/company events, we will be returning! Thanks again to you all... sorry about the yellow lights!

Teamsport Southampton staff have done well again! Another amazing Halloween event! Three in a row.

The team two hour race with the challenges was a lot of fun and the time flew by!

Southampton - 375m

NEW Members Gird Event!!! Eastleigh Champs - 12/03/2017



This event is first of its kind, 10min qualifier and 50 min race gird start. Winners are the people who had low gap time between their average time to their best lap time. The most consistent person would win.



This event was ran so smoothly and explain so well by Tayler, we didn't see any red or amber lights. None of the karts broke down, no one felt there kart wasn't letting them down. Everyone at the end was happy and excited for this event to happen again.



Big thank you to all the staff who ran this event! Jason, Tayler and Carl W who were hosts and racing directors, Sam was in pits and marshalling and Cerys D was marshalling too. As usual the staff always watching and concentrating on own race. The Southampton staff have always set a very high standard in my book and keep that standard very high. Thank you for another great event.



I would like to add my experience from 2016 because I haven't posted about it. Top guns, mansell, F1, unlimited nights, team endurance, track attacks, qualifying for karts champs, Halloween event, Indykart and the eliminate. In total we did 40 visits to this great place. We learnt a lot here from the staff and other members. I want to say a big thank you to Sara for introducing us to the members of events. Amy H and Rhys J who sadly don't work here anymore but they ran most of the events last year they did an excellent job. It was sad they left but they had to move on. I can't thank them enough for a great 2016.

Thank you Teamsport Southampton, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Tracks quick but slippy, so great challenge to get a good time. Love racing here. Can be a bit noisy as the viewing area is right next to the track, and the fumes do get to you after a while if in for the unlimited evenings. Staff are fantastic and always happy to help. Karts are fairly even too, speaks lots of the mechanic i guess.

Took my 11 year old out for his first go at Karting he loved it and got with in a second of the adult average in a kids Kart so pretty impressive!! A great way to enjoy some father and son time !

Thanks to Karl and his team last night having seven sessions on the unlimited deal, looking forward to the refit.

Hosted a work event here for colleagues and customers. All really enjoyed it, great atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. Karts are well maintained, track is pretty slippery but that adds to the fun in my opinion. Definitely be back, and highly recommended

Had a great time only 0.7 of a second behind my mate that I was 5 seconds slower than last time can’t wait TIL next time we are going to buy a Year’s membership too

Easy to find. Good fun. Great friendly and helpful staff. Worth a visit �

Easy to find, quick to book and overall brilliant time - staff are very friendly even at the end of the day after a long shift! The marshals had great eye sight and weren't blind to the poor driving standards and bad sportsmanship on the track causing incidents all over the place. Would highly recommend to anyone new or experienced in karting.

Connor has been going to this track for over 2 years now, the staff that are there now are really lovely and will try their best to make the events great. Big shoutouts to Tayler, Carl, Jason, Cerys and Sam who make it all run smoothly and are always willing to help. Doing a great job guys.

Awesome experience, really good fun!!! Safe and clear instructions especially if it is your first time go karting. Staff were lovely. Will defiantly do this again!

Absolutely amazing staff put on kids programs on for my sister in law to help with my nephew was a really good night for us all we all loved it thank you to the team for a brilliant time x

Took my 9 year old son his friend and 11 year old sister for his birthday treat they all loved it. Staff were all good and friendly. Will def take them again.

Was my first time I did like it, get some decent speed down the hill bit, didnt like the bit were we was stopping starting every 30 seconds yellow flag red flag ect must of got one good lap in full speed with out being told to stop,may have something to do with the bad drivers crashing 😂but I would like it to be two 20 min races but I would go again ✌

Staff are not fit for their job role. Couldn't push the kart or lift the barrier when one person from my group crashed. The time is poorly managed. Paid for two 15 min race sessions. Second session consisted of 5min due to staff. Wasn't allowed an additional 10min to race. When there's a group of 10people you'd think they would allow for extra time but they are only interested in taking your money and giving a bad service. Highly recommend somewhere else.
