Tebay Services Hotel

We read the reviews for what we considered to be a Motorway stop. We considered the reviews to be too good to be true. They were not overstated. We were very pleased indeed and would definitely stop here again.

This has to be the best motorway services based hotel in the country! Excellent good sized well furnished stylish room ( 'Crafted' Room), set back from the M6, so no issues with road noise, and views over open countryside toward the Lake District. We both had a very nice steak and ale pie in the hotel bar, and there's also a restaurant in the hotel (didn't try it so can't comment). Hard to beat for an overnight stop en route to Scotland (in our case)

Nice comfy bed rooms. Clean and well kept. Verry convenient just off motorway.
Staff always friendly and great breakfast overlooking duck pond. Nice

Great services. Ducks so tame, walking around among the people. Lovely surroundings. Don't miss the take away Cumberland sausage rolls. A bit pricey but full of meat so great value. Also big bonus is a free cash machine!

The hotel is just wonderful! We stayed in a Crafted room with locally made wooden furniture, locally made toiletries and hospitality items. Very comfortable beds! Lovely staff. Great breakfast with local produce. Fully recommend!

Wonderful place to stay the night. Very quiet and homely looking open spaces and rooms. We had a family room and our six yr old loved the bunk beds hidden in a cupboard. The room was very comfortable with nice touches for grown ups and kids - cafetiere, tissues, soft lighting and lots of lighting options (great for sleeping kids) and a very decent shower. Very reasonably priced. Will definitely stop again on trips to Scotland.

Stunning hotel. Would never believe that you are at a service station. Excellent food, lovely attentive staff. So good that I decided to stay on the way back. Views of the Lake District are lovely especially after the day I had had. Will most definitely stay again

Had a lovely dinner with my aunt and uncle who were staying at the hotel and really rate it. Really high standard of food on offer and very friendly and warm staff.

Motorway services are usually drab and mundane but this one is different with a duck pond to look out on from the cafe seating area. There is also fairly good food and coffee on offer along with a rather nice farm shop. Down side is that it is always busy because it is one of the better service stations on the M6.
