Some very bad condition on the roads. I believe everyone who stayed at the weekend is now home.
We took in a refugee from Crewe cave and pothole club, who couldn't get out to sheffield last night (and hence home to somewhere near london).
My route back to manchester was via hathersage, calver and stoney. The long way around, but safe.

A local caver has lost his oversuit at the P8 car park this weekend. He believes it may have been on top of his van before he left the car park, but "magically" disappeared from that spot as soon as he drove away.
If you've picked up an oversuit from p8 car park, please could you let me know.
Thanks in advance... Alastair.

Incredible to see how well our local University groups have got on with recruiting new Cavers this year!
We’ve had many groups passing through our doors in the last 2 weeks (or 9days to be exact!) including young Cavers from MUSC, NUCC and SUSS.
We look forward to welcoming you all again soon in the New Year!
... York University Cave & Pothole Club, we’re guessing you guys will be next for your Giants Hole - Peak District trip? Let us know if you need any help!

TSG at Hidden Earth today!

User

The TSG will have a stall at Hidden Earth 2017.
The Primary reason for the stall is to give people with their first opportunity to purchase the brand new TSG 19 Journal. But we would love to speak to anyone who wants to come accross and have a chat. If you enjoy the chat and want to join the club, you would be more than welcome.

Not many caving libraries can boast to be the size of a Manchester Library, but your Library could have an Excellent new edition to its stock.
Today, the first batch of Journals have been collected from Northend Creative Printing Solutions, Sheffield.
The Journal is in full colour and will be sold at the price of £25.
... This weekend will be the official launch at Hidden Earth 2017 down in the town of Churchill, Mendip. We hope to be able to accept card payments, cheque or cash at our stall in the commerce hall.
Once this weekend is over we will weigh and set the postage for the Journal. So stay tuned if you wish to buy one and have it hand delivered by the boys in red.

Many thanks to Clive, John and Rob for the cracking talks last night. A well organised evening and some funds raised for DCRO.
Clive is currently underground taking rare photos of the oxlow-giants connection point which was dug through on this day 50 years ago, by Clive's digging partners.

Titan is back!
The titan team have engineered a solution and poured a load of concrete down the hole at moose (which seemed to mostly miss him, drat!) but at least we had fun trying.
For more details see the peakspeedwell site. ... When booking either titan or peak, it is best to contact the email address on the website as the first port of call.

User

Very friendly, welcoming bunch. Have had some excellent trips with these guys.

Great spot to meet up with other cavers in Castleton, great bunch of folk running the place - like a family, but sharing a love of caving.

User

Excellent caving hut, in a great central position for a load of Derbyshire's classic caves and mines. I've had some of my greatest memories to date here at the TSG hut, and plan on having a shed load more!

User

Come to Castleton and stay at our recently refurbished club "hut" - all sparkly and new, thanks to the efforts of our members...
