What a great opportunity walking across this beautiful bridge. Paul was great at explaining the history of the bridge, he took his time and was very courteous. Amazing views, if you have not climbed it yet I would add it to your list of things to do.

This is an awesome tour - the guide John took us up on the upper walkway and told us all about the history of the area as well as the bridge itself - we also got to ride across the river on the transporter and he showed us the winding room and explained how it worked - John was so friendly and knowledgeable it made the tour very enjoyable!

User

Thanks to the staff at Teesside Transporter for giving our learners from Middlesbrough Community Learning and a trip across the Tees.

User

Stunning views! I was so excited about finally going up after hearing the stories of dad and older members of my family, it didn't disappoint, the guide was very helpful and really knew his stuff and good to see the set up is accessible to all. A Fantastic experience.

User

Love it! Easy and peaceful way of cutting down my journey home

User

Lots of history about the bridge, will be coming back for the official tour.

User

If you are in the area the Transporter Bridge is well worth a visit. The tour of the bridge is fantastic and the views are great.

User

I'm not a great lover of heights but as it was a clear and unusually windless day I decided to take the trip over the walkway. The guide was superb imparting realms of local knowledge in a friendly entertaining style. Although it's worth the effort for the view alone, his input makes it a must.

I took my 81year old Father to the top of the Transporter bridge today courtesy of the glass lift. A lovely clear day enabled an excellent view up, down and around the River Tees Middlesbrough area.

Dad really enjoyed chatting about the sights and reminiscing about his younger days. A big thank you to the very kind and patient staff member who escorted us.

I highly recommend this experience, which is suitable for all ages and abilities. Don't forget to wrap up well!!

I have been up to the observation deck on a tour and really enjoyed looking at the various land marks of Middlesbrough. My tour was organised through Ageing Better and while walking around I decided that I would love to come back one day and Abseil down it. All the staff were wonderful and told us so many interesting things about the bridge. On 18th June I returned to the Transporter Bridge and Abseiled down it. Amazing and such fun. We over 60's still know how to have fun. Lovely landmark and such a feat of engineering. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!

Great crew that work on this, always smiling no matter what the weather. Never had any problems or delays.

User

Friendly staff of this iconic bridge took us on a guided tour elaborating on its history, mechanics and impact on the area. We got to go atop the bridge and ferry it too. My friend and I had a wonderful time with the lovely staff on the beautiful bridge.

Fantastic place to visit. We went on the tour up on the top of the bridge, it was very windy but it was very cool. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the bridge, having worked on it for years. We got to ride across the bridge and press the button to start the bridge. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

User

Fabulous visit...I go over the bridge most days to work but have never done the visitor experience and gone up to the top of the bridge. It was amazing ...a massive thank you to John! Highly recommend.

Beautiful bridge! Great staff.

Although it was really windy Brian took his time with all our questions and was really great. We took friends for a unique experience as they were visiting from Portsmouth. Although we've lived here all our lives it's only recently we found out about the tours and totally enjoyed the morning.

Would totally recommend to anyone and we'll be back soon to take the grandkids up.
