Teesside Cats Protection Branch Description

The Teesside Branch of Cats Protection has been involved in cat rescue since November 1978.

We take in unwanted and stray cats and kittens. After a vet check-up, all cats over the age of 4 months are neutered, vaccinated and ID chipped. Kittens receive their first vaccinations at eight weeks.

Fostering:

All cats are looked after (fostered) by a small band of volunteers - some have a spare room, some have pens in their gardens.

All foster homes are checked for suitability and are continuously kept up to date of any changes and updates to working practices.

All accommodations used for fostering are cleaned and disinfected after every cat /kitten leaves to negate the risk of infections.

Adopting:

Prospective new owners will be invited to visit and see cats /kittens prior to a decision to re-home. A home visit to the prospective new home will be made. Cats /kittens are always delivered to their new home.

Adoption fees are £60 for both adult cats and kittens.

These prices include Full Vaccination, Neutering /Spaying (at the correct age), and ID Chipping.

The cost of this to us is between £130 and £150, for this reason any donations over adoption fees are very welcome, and allow us to continue our work protecting cats and kittens in need.
