This station needs an upgrade, everything around it is being refurbished. Nice roof terrace.
Not so clean or welcoming station
A fairly quiet station to get off at. Only problem is sometimes they close it, if staff not available.
Small and cozy old Victorian station. There is café next to it and river Thames. Nice views from its terrace above.
The Station is reminiscent of a by gone era, and has not let go of its past just yet
Station just randomly closes because they have no staff. Then get staff to manage the station! Some of us want to get home of an evening. Second day into a new job and already they decide to shut the station which threw my journey out unnecessarily by 30 minutes!
If I am ever under Temple and I want to come up into the outside bit I always use the underground station for its sheer convenience. Brilliant. I wish some of those Victorian engineers were still around in modern times.
Temple is one of the most old (1870's) tube stations. Quite straightforward, less people hanging about, and not much adjacent commercial establishments (save for a local café and a Walkabout bar). This is your lovely stop for Somerset House, Bush House and King's College London (Strand Campus).
