Went on a great three day camping trip with my new Tentsile Stingray. It lives up to and exceeded my expectations. It is super easy to set up (20 mins) first try and you can actually fit it back in the original bag unlock most tents from a factory. It’s very durable and sleeps great! Highly recommend this company and its products.

Used a few times now and I absolutely love this tree tent! I have the connect and the 2nd time using the weather got extreme. No leaks at all and no cold wind was able to blow through the tent. It even kept most of my stuff dry that was underneath it. It takes a little trial and error when it comes to setting up but once you get it right it stays solid. Your back will get cold if there’s nothing in between you and the bottom but it is a thicker material then your traditional hammock so it’s not as bad. It catches a lot of attention as well which is good and bad I guess. Overall great tent and great customer service!

These are great people who stand behind their products. I contacted customer service with some issues after my initial purchase and they were quickly and professionally resolved. I would recommend them to anyone. I have been hammock camping for a while and Tentsile is just as easy to set up and even more comfortable. The Connect is perfect for sleeping two people and offers plenty of comfort and support. Thank you Tentsile! Awesome!

*Update*

We have now finished our first season with our Connect and I also wanted to add that we roughed some severe weather and we stayed dry and comfortable.

Tents are awesome, incredible comfortable. We have taken them on 3 trips so far. Ohiopyle, Penn. Boy Scout Island which is a small island Michigan that scouts can use and Mackinaw Straights Upper peninsula of Michigan. Only challenge is finding tree placement, but on the plus side we are able to set up in places no one else hills, cliffs, rough terrain. As a recruiting tool they are great, we are the only ones with them and we have brought in several new scouts

Just got back from the Bike Ride Across Georgia Spring Tune Up Ride (1000 or so cyclists)

The Tentsile Stingray was a great hit!

Lots of attention and lots of questions.

I have owned the Tentsile Connect for about 6 months and loved it. I just got the Stingray and love it even more.

The Tentsile tents are a real game changer for me. I find myself actively looking for a reason to set it up.

Thanks to Tentsile for a great product!

I’ve owned a campground for 25 years and my guest are blown away by this tree-tent.. They want a demo model or weekend they can try it out! Well done Tensile, Thank you

User

I wanted to order a Tentsile hammock as they locked very useful as of now I have not received it, but when I went to order I wanted to get a little more information on the product. This wonderful guy named Robert was a great help at the costumer service live chat and he was a great help. He was nice and I would defiantly recommend him for the live service chat with anyone.

I purchased a Stingray and a Trillium with ladders and double bubble for the Trillium hammock for my Cub Scout Pack. The Scouts Love it! It’s like a tree house you can set up for them anywhere! It’s also a great way to share your love of the outdoors with them. It can be difficult to peak interest in the outdoors with kids today. These tents help build that interest!

I just spent 3 months traveling through the national forests of the US. My Tentsile stingray handled 3 major storms (they showed up out of nowhere and we didn't have signal to check weather), kept us dry as a bone, kept us cool in the heat, and has survived with regular checks for about 2 years of use. I've set it up every month since it's purchase and any issue I've had has been addressed by the customer service quickly and without headache!

User

I just ordered my Stingray from REI today. Along with the rope ladder, drink holder, and hatch cover. I was very disappointed that the Trillium hammock was not available through REI, and I need space for all six family members, so I ordered three hammocks that we can hang beneath the stingray. Soon, we will have our very own Ewok village! So exciting!!!

I have taken my tentsile connect out camping about 3 times now and have loved every single time. The build quality, the comfort and the unique style defiantly turns heads when you are 6 ft in the air up a set of trees. I have had on numerous occasions had visitors in my camp asking where I got the tent, I always point them in the right direction and inform them they will not be dissapointed. Ideally you would use two people for the set up as recommended but I've been able to set it up single handed with no issues. It's design means you can hang it between most combinations of three trees, I have only had to take it down and start again one time out of 5 set ups because the tree print was not suited. Would 100% recommend this for anyone who has a bad back and maybe doesn't like camping on the hard ground in fact I would recommend this product to anyone that wants what is probably one of the most unique tents I have seen on the market.

I had been looking at these tents for months and finally decided to get a Connect. The customer service was great, answered all my questions, and even told me to hold off a couple of weeks because they were going to release a sale. Which to me was very nice of them to shrug off the extra profit they could have made, and instead make a customer even more happy. Tent has been through beautiful days, rain storms, and small children crawling around in it. Very impressed. Would not hesitate to purchase another. Might pick up a Stingray in the future just to house my friends when we all go camping! This company has rekindled my love for camping!

User

I finally had the chance to take the Tentsile Stingray out! I hope that my post might convince some close friends to invest in the Tentsile experience! I will list a few “pros” and “cons”

Pros:

1) Very comfortable! Both my daughter and I slept very well!

2) Very easy to setup!

3) Great View!

4) Good looking tent

5) Unique

6) Very big!

Cons:

1) It got pretty chilly that evening. I came prepared and made sure to bring plenty of sleeping bags and blankets. You can definitely feel the cold air from under you if you don’t bring layers! A sleeping bag alone will not keep you warm! We used an oversized sleeping bag and 2 blankets in order to have an insulated surface. Plus we used sleeping bags on top of those 3 layers. However the layers kept slipping and sliding and at times I was on the very cold surface of the tent itself! I had a 30 degree sleeping bag and I could still feel the huge drop in temperature! So if you plan to camp in cold weather you’re going to be FORCED to purchase the Tentsile inflatable mattress. Somehow the mattresses latch onto the tent itself in order to prevent the hot mess I had to deal with! A related issue that I had with my layers of insulation was that my blankets covered up the exit. It was a huge hassle to move layers of blankets and sleeping bags in order to get to the exit for late night bathroom breaks! Tentsile has an expensive solution for that of course...

2) The storage bag is too small! I felt like I would have to be an origami artist in order to fold the tent back into the bag! By no means is it a dealbreaker. I’ll learn better folding techniques.

3) The straps on the rain tarp were starting to look worn out after one use... This is one issue that actually kind of upset me due to the $$$ spent on this tent.

Overall I enjoyed our experience. My expectations were most definitely met. My 3 yr old daughter now enjoys the outdoors! She wants to go camping again! Big return on investment! Thanks Tentsile!

I can't explain how much fun this tent has brought my life! Living next to Wales I have lots of access to the wilderness and my boyfriend and I take off for the weekend and always find an amazing spot. We get crazy views, a hideaway from people and bugs but mostly feel like we're getting a different experience from the norm which never stops being exciting. Definitely worth the extra cost!!

For the last two months I've been camping in the remote parts of northern Mozambique and Angola. So I was confined to the comforts of a tent. For Mozambique I invested in a Tentsile Flite+. The reason was straightforward, last time my ground tent was flooded out, so it was obvious to try and camp of the ground and a tree tent made sense. I went for the Flite+ as we needed to porter all our gear to our remote forest camps high up in the mountains of northern Mozambique and the Flite+ only weights about 3 kg. In the beginning it took some time to find three aligned trees and to set up the tent with the right tension. But it's all worth the effort as it provides for a very comfortable nights sleep of the ground. The tent is made of good quality material and off great craftsmanship. It performed very well under very heavy downpours. I will highly recommend this to everyone that is interested in a tree tent. I'm really looking forward using this tent for years to come.

BTW make sure you select good trees. I pulled over a whole tree that was rotten on the one side.

Bought my Trillium hammock about a year ago and Tensile warrantied it no questions asked and I received my new one very fast. The quality and construction of the new one I received was night and day superior to the one I had purchased a year ago. Great product, great customer service, always striving to better their products and strengthen their brand.

User

Awesome! We set up a Trillium during a big picnic in the countryside at our cottage in Poland, and everyone loved it! Super comfortable and now our go-to place in the garden :)

User

WOW, slept in this with my 6 yr old son, and 9 yr old daughter, found it extremely comfy with the air mattresses however they do tend to slip around even with the rubber backing. The stingray is very easy to setup, and by that its really up in around 15 minutes. The instructions could point out what all the other attachment points are for in and around the tent as i found myself wondering what the inside attachment points were for! Refinements for certain elements are needed however. Clips for the raincover which are attached to the ratchet seem very flimsy and will only be a matter of time before the elastic loses its elasticity or they break in high winds, these need to be adjustsable and beefed up slightly to more adequate pinch clips and 1” webbing. If you are using the rain cover and wanting to get in and out of the front entrance instead of the centre hole( due to covering it up with blankets etc) try using one of the elastics provided to route it the centre hole and attached to the front raincover hook to then close it for the night. I purchased a stingray and vista, winter combo with accesories (a lot) confusion was apparent when they both turned up in a stingray bag! my ratchets strap arrived damaged, by a slight nick in the loop end! but overall im happy with the tent. The VISTA was a tad more tricky, and by far the least attractive of the 2, essentially i bought it as a 1st floor for underneath my stingray, with the roof option to use it independantly with walls and fly sheet but the roof part for the trillium /vista is not very stable in even light winds, i feel its mostly suited to very warm climates and for people who dont mind the openeness or the ability for others to see inside. The overall setup was a little longer taking about 30 minutes or so, the internal fly sheet was not the best utilised shape due to the poles and internal setup instead of a perimeter setup, which could be utilised using velcro or zip system, toggles and ties are primal methods of camping and i feel that technology has surpassed this however sometimes the most basic methods are the best but im not convinced.

I have yet to put them together and exploit both their full potential but for now i have rigged them independantly in my garden!

User

I have the flite and love using it for camping! However, even though it is a two man tent, it is pretty cramped with 2 people and you can' t fit all your gear in it. Other than that though it is a great tent!
