We certainly love the finer things in life & all the more so when they tick our ethos box. Following an inspirational book launch event by @cocoathebook Sue Quinn we are pleased to now only stock & use the incredible chocolate by @original_beans. It’s one of the most sustainable chocolate companies out there & sadly there aren’t too many. Over to the chefs as we bring you this mighty rich chocolate #chocolate #cocao #cocaothebook #suequinn #anotherboxticked #ecopackaging #southbourne

Rhubarb and Rye Sour . We have the most amazing rhubarb from Sopley farm after we have pressed and juiced for our ‘highball’ cocktail that we get from Sopley farm, we are left with rhubarb pulp. We turn this into a sour rhubarb cordial as a basis for our sour cocktail. Using every part of the produce. . We pair this with @wildturkey_uk rye whiskey and finish with skittle dried lemon thyme.... . Our take on whisky sour 🤩 . . . . . #dorset #bournemouth #whiskysour #cocktail #sobo #sobomile #rhubarb #local

Highball . New season means a new highball recipe for us. . Grape infused gin - the grapes are from our sister bar’s garden @thelibraryofliquor, fresh pressed rhubarb juice, then we carbonate it, we add a apple crisp and serve it tall.... . Wow! Not your usual approach to tapas but very creative and modern menu. Loved every dish we tried and the wine was great too. Enthusiastic and knowledgable staff who really seem to care about your experience. Hoping to return soon!

User

What a great addition to a thriving scene Southbourne seems to have at the moment. Off the back of my first visit here I can't recommend this place highly enough. Just what Southbourne has been crying out for. Amazing food, drinks and vibe from a restaurant that is trying to be as totally carbon neutral as posable. Massive shout out to Jimmy and his team for what they are trying to achieve and all the best for the future guys.

User

What a fantastic, changing menu. A fantastic place to eat out in Southbourne

User

What a fabulous place! Staff are so friendly and I love the way their passion shines through when they talk through the concept behind terroir tapas and explain the drinks and food in such detail. Simply wonderful!

User

Went last night and thought the food was delicious. We had all vegetarian options. Exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented. It's not your standard tapas fayre. Will definitely visit again.

User

We've been waiting for this place to open, and it was worth the wait! Tapas was probably the best we've ever had, lovely atmosphere and the staff were great, couldn't fault it and we will be back.

User

Very interesting place! Busy tonight but with a chilled atmosphere about it. Food was good, would have liked some gluten free bread to go with it then would have been great. Unusual raw apple crumble but very good. Look forward to seeing what’s on the menu next time! A great addition to Southbourne, will be back thank you.

User

The best addition to Bournemouth in years. I love the food, the vibe and wonderful team

Terroir Tapas and team, have put in an amazing effort to make your evo the best in every way they can. Be prepaid to have a taste explosion from the Cod cheek Tortilla that crossed the Mexican boarder! The salted roasted Beets and goats cheese lush with a crisp white. Oysters were salty fresh. As for the Choc Pot..one pot n two spoons!!perfect for a dairy free decadent pud so couldn't eat it all on my own. Thanks guys lovely evo.

User

Such interesting food with lots of thought put into it. It’s not Spanish tapas but small plates of delicious and innovative interestingness. Really enjoyed chatting to the team about their first 14 weeks and plans for taking the place forward. It’s a great addition to the high street and a good place for couples and groups.

User

User

London quality cuisine with a sustainable twist! Loved listening to David Attenborough in the loo

User

It’s wonderful to have a bar with a fresh new approach that puts sustainability first. The good news is that both the food and drinks are delicious as well.

Update June 2018:

Incidentally- the sustainable approach is so appropriately woven in to the fabric of the place, that there’s a chance that you’ll not even notice. The team will happily run you through the finer points - but I feel it’s incidental. All businesses (and people) need to realise that this planet won’t survive the rate of consumption and pollution it’s being subjected to without some changes being widely adopted. It should be the norm - not a pr stunt.

The small plate offerings have continued to develop and remain both delicious and key word: ‘small plate’. Don’t expect large plates. If you’re feeling peckish - perhaps ask the team which items might be more filling? Heritage Potatoes for example. Typically, ordering three options ticks the box for me.

Terroir offers a wide selection of drinks, but please do few free to ask if you don’t see something on the blackboard that you’d like. They are adept bartenders. White wine spritz? Rum and coke? Simple stuff of course, but all easily achieved. There are all sorts of ingredients just out of sight under the counter.

A final word. If you do want some inspiration on some sustainability changes that the world so desperately needs - do ask the team. They don’t do it to be unique on the high street, or to have some ‘holier than thou’ moral high ground. They do it because it’s the right thing to do and whilst they are somewhat at the vanguard of things - it’s the sort of action that needs more and more people and companies to adopt for maximum impact.

Or (of course) you could just pop in for a bite to eat and drink in relaxed surroundings.

User

It's a great addition to the vibe in Southbourne , great food and staff and the design of the place is bang on!

User

Intriguing and exciting. It kind of feels unusual and maybe intimidating at first but it’s actually really down to earth. We sat at the end of the bar and chatted away learning about what was on offer. Staff are happy to explain the menu if you ask, and I’d recommend being open to new flavours. If you’re expecting more of the same Tapas, you might leave disappointed. If you’re a foodie you have to try it.

User
