Today’s treats! Honey, bee pollen and lavender bundt, plum and almond sourdough galette, choc and cherry cake, coffee gateaux, Billionair’s shortbread, made with toasted hazelnuts, dates and sesame seeds and, naturally, chocolate. Come and get it! (Oooh! I forgot ... cheese and sage scones, blueberry and violet meringue cake, apple and almond flour free cake 😊
I’ve been making white chocolate and Orange fudge... yummy! My mum’s recipe, chocolate cherry cake is delicious but my dad would say it’s not as good as hers! Come and try it!

Wow! What an amazing place! We visited today, on a busy Saturday afternoon and thought it was a really lovely, special place. The atmosphere was really warm and welcoming and the service second to none. We are 2 adults and 2 young boys and had hot chocolates, juice and cake as well as some truly divine chocolates. The children loved the hot chocolate and cakes (I believe this place has quite a reputation for their hot chocolate) and I loved the local produce aspect of the foods on offer. We will certainly be returning.... with friends next time! :-)
What a lovely unique place to eat such mouth watering deserts and drink the most velvety hot chocolate. They also sell an incredible range of unusual chocolates and sweets, staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot wait to return to taste another delight, and take him some more of there handmade desserts. 💖
We were on a week’s break in Louth and found this fantastic place! Their hot chocolate is sooo good we just had to go two days in a row! The cakes are delicious, there are new options every day and the staff take time to tell you about them. We were made to feel very welcome and wish we lived nearby so we could visit more often.
We passed by whilst in Louth and the window looked so inviting, we had to go in. It's beautiful inside with the lovely old counter and display cabinets. The lady serving (who I think was the owner and had made all the cakes) described all the cakes to us and we opted for the carrot cake, which was delicious, and we both had a hot chocolate, I went for plain and hubby milk chocolate, both made with proper chocolate and absolutely amazing! We sat upstairs in a lovely cosy room with fresh flowers on all the tables. I also bought some Easter chocolates in a beautifully decorated tin. Excellent service, a real asset to Louth! We will be back.
We love it here - Tertulia is a real gem and a great asset to Louth. Exquisite chocolates of which there is an extensive choice including vegetarian jelly sweets. The interior is beautiful, a really nostalgic yesteryear feeling and the service is excellent, so friendly and patient. Such a lot of thought has gone into this business and little details that enhance the whole experience have been attended to - fresh flowers on the tables for example. Excellent absolutely excellent!
The service is superb, so friendly and inviting. The gluten free apple and almond cake is the best gf cake ive ever tasted-amazing!!the hot chocolate is to die for. Thank you so much ladies x
The best baileys hot chocolate around with great staff and tasty chocolates. Will be back tomorrow and probably the day after! 10/10
Popped in today just to kill some time, lovely little gem of a place!! I had a tea and my partner had a hot chocolate, generous servings, lovely proper hot chocolate and super friendly staff. Recommended to all our friends. We don't come to Louth often but when we next visit, we will be back. Thank you!!
Popped in for the first time yesterday for cake and milkshake with my daughter. The cake was divine, particularly the chocolate and cherry- wow! Service was impeccable, facilities spotless. Highly recommend to all!
One of my local places for scrummy chocolate :D. Excellent handmade chocolate, really friendly staff who are passionate about their chocolate. The inside of Tertulia is excellently decorated with antiques and is a place you can relax with its cozy atmosphere. As a person who loves antiques, and has a thirst for historical knowledge, this is a perfect place to not only relax and enjoy the delicacies, but to also see some excellent examples of history like a Woolly mammoth tooth and a book of the history of Louth. A must visit place!
My daughter and I visited for the first time last week. We had some delicious hot chocolate, freshly squeezed juice and a lovely warm lemon scone. The service was friendly and efficient in a lovely setting. We will be back!

Gorgeous! Amazing hot choc, warm welcome, seating in the bay window upstairs to watch the world go by, and a wonderful.array of loose and boxed chocolates to choose from.
Gill and I popped in for a winter warmer whilst out shopping ... and wow what a delightful place it is. Lots of lovely suites and cakes and of course speciality chocolates as well as amazing hot coffee and drinking chocolate. The staff are welcoming and a pleasure. The whole experience is delightful and comfortable, in a cozy environment and tasteful decor and furnishings. A little gem that fully deserves a five star rating ... I fancy it'll become a regular for us from now on. Delightful !
Four girls went to to surprise a friend and owner of this little gem. Well we certainly surprised her. We just loved the look on her face! We treated ourselves to hot chocolate and cake. Exceptionally good. We will return. Congratulations on your venture. Happy days
First visit to Tertulia, where we indulged ourselves with a hot chocolate and the best homemade, sumptuous carrot cake I’ve ever had. The date and coconut panatone was also delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, provided excellent service and were passionate about what they do. Looking to our return visit in 2 weeks �

Amazing place, nice atmosphere, nice friendly staff. I found it more of a welcoming and personal service with the no menu available option, they do so well to remember everything on the menu!! The hot choccie is to die for if your a true chocoholic, and finally the little Belgian chocolates are out of this world!! would recommend to anyone looking for that special gift or even better a cosy day on the sofa watching a film when your feeling a little down! Don't miss out on the chance to experience this cosy cafe!
