Tesco Superstore

The pharmacist was so rude and unhelpful, trying to get a last minute prescription for something very important and just wanted to argue and talk in riddles rather than say if it could be done and that she just needed the original in the post. Took other calls and dealt with other people rather than help me and made me wait for an hour. Kissed her teeth at me when I said she had been extremely rude and unhelpful, I just needed someone to help me and advise. She gave me a fax number and conveniently she said she hadn’t received the prescription! She then confirmed that it’s pharmasist descretion and she is deciding not to help. Such a shame Tesco have someone like this working on an important part of the shop!

Exceptionally pleasant check out staff.
Sometimes there are gaps on the shelves and today there was no fillet steak on the butcher's counter. Not the end of the world but slightly weird and not under the control of the counter staff, who are always helpful.

Good size Tesco with decent opening hours making it even more useful.

Friendly and helpful staff, extensive range of products and facilities, usually some decent special offers (though worth checking per-unit prices as 'family sized ' boxes sometimes worse value than smaller packs). The store is open 24 hours a day during the week but there's a balance to be struck on shopping times, hence the docked star. Shop too late and some ranges will be out of stock (never any doughnuts after about 8pm, for example), while visiting during the rush hour can sometimes mean a long wait to get out of the car park due to the local road layout.

Don't ever bother going here... staff wander round looking at phones, if they are working you'll find tills empty with 6 staff in one isle half trying to stack shelves.. I've seen fresh food dropped on the floor, brushed down and put back by a manager and let's not forget the carpark..... you would have more luck flapping your arms to get out of the carpark than driving out of here.... absolutely no organisation, one small road out that exits onto a busy road so no chance to pull out.... bloody joke! Go to Sainsbury's about 5/10mins drive away...

Had to pick up a few bits as having the girls over for lunch. Managed to get everything i wanted. No queue at the checkout and the store was lovely and cool.

This is the best maintenance Tesco in Chelmsford. Clean and tidy shelfs. Always fresh stock. It's shame that isn't 24/7. Very recommended.

Excellent Service tonight. Not always helpful as sometimes don't allow customers time for packing. Can literally throw purchases down conveyor belt. Then before customer has finished packing will expect payment. Good quality food and plenty of choice. Light and airy shop. However managers can cause traffic jams by sealing off entrance.

Wood Street is a rundown store, rotting fascias, broken trolley bays, neglected landscaping and invisible management who NEVER interact with customers. In fruit and veg, some racks are so decrepit that prices cannot be displayed, i.e.- soft fruit.
What rescues this store are the checkout staff and checkout supervisors who do a fabulous job. Many help me pack without me asking - Cidy, Janet, Christine, Pushpa, Elaine, Greta, Jo, the regulars at customer, and many more. They rescue this store. I have shopped here since the day it opened and am a Clubcard plus user committed to Tescos. I am sad to see the state of the place, it is so unwelcoming. Mark L

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood! The downside is that the prices are high compared with other local supermarkets like Lidl, Asda etc.

Good local Tescos! Come here often and my Mum gets transport here, She's 81 and finds the staff friendly and helpful!
