Frogeye sprite restoration photos continued......

Sorry for the quiet spell.
However just because we have been quiet online, that hasn't been the case in the workshop. In fact far from it. In the last 4 1/2 weeks we have done the complete bodywork restoration of this frogeye sprite body.
The work was quite intensive as you will tell from the photos. We are very pleased with the results.
... Next stop body prep and paint, and some future exciting news on that front🤫🤫.

The FIA MK2 Jag is coming on well.
Note to self...........if someone tell you a shell is rust free, don't necessarily believe them 😂

Panels ordered for our MK2 restoration project to FIA specification. Time to start moving things on and put the new plasma cutter through its paces.
The shell is now mounted on our roll over spit to make access as easy as possible.

This C Type came to us for a small amount of work. To make a pair of doors, some inner wing work and a dashboard needed making, before paint. This is a very old body and the previous work was not carried out by us. However when the owner was transporting the car to us from Belgium, the rear end fell off the trailer. As you can imagine this led to considerable damage. One side was effectively shortened by about 200mm (8"). We had to fix this with a lot of straightening, some material had to be removed due to the amount of creasing. New sections made and welded in. This was made all the more difficult due to the fact that this is a very old body, so needed a lot of cleaning before any welding took place. This C Type is now at paint so keep an eye out for more pics when it returns shortly.

Along side the FIA MK2, we are also doing a full restoration of this little Frog Eyed Sprite. This will also be a race car. It does require considerable body panel repair work as you can see in the pictures. No job too big or too small for us at Tester engineering.
