Did you know we can help with arthritis with K-Laser? It is just one of the complementary therapies we are pleased to offer at the clinic. It has many other uses as well, so please click the link below to learn more.
We managed to fill our Royal Wootton Bassett Clinic yesterday afternoon with a brilliant group of pups for our Puppy Party. Who wants to come and join in the fun next time? β€
We have some excellent benefits on our VIP Health Club β but thatβs not all, you can now upgrade your plan to include the cost of neutering, with a fantastic saving! π Click the link to learn more.
We have had a physiotherapy demonstration today with Pauline Mather over at our Greenbridge clinic to help raise awareness of how this complimentary treatment can help our clients and their pets. It's all part of our senior awareness month that we are focusing on throughout November. Physiotherapy is a manipulative form of therapy to help restore movement and function after an injury or illness. It can be used in conjunction with prescribed medication, K-Laser or as a stand alone treatment. If you have any concerns regarding your pets mobility or want to further information, get in touch with us today πΆπ±

On this Armistice Day, please take a moment to reflect on the animals that have been in conflict. 100 years ago World War I ended and in that conflict alone, 16 million animals were involved, each one a hero.
Are your pets like this? π

This beautifull Chihuahua puppy found herself a nice cosey spot in our RVN, Abi's Pocket.π She was visiting our Purton Road clinic for her Monthly Worming treatment and ID chip so she is all set to go to her new home. Good luck Shaz.
Just one more reason to love them! π

This little lovely is Tera. She is a 7 year old cat that came to us for a consultation at our Greenbridge clinic on Friday morning as she had 'not quite been herself' at home. After a full examination and consultation with her owners, Veterinary Surgeon, Chloe suspected that she may have a Pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus and is a serious and life threatening condition that must be treated quickly. It is an accumulation of pus because of the hormonal changes that ...occur after an animal has been in season but does not become pregnant. Bacteria then takes advantage of the situation, resulting in the potential fatal infection. The team at Greenbridge acted quickly to ultrasound scan Tera to confirm her condition and rush her straight into theatre. Her Uterus and Ovaries were removed and she received aggressive Intravenous Fluid Therapy and Antibiotics. She spent a night at our hospital and, thankfully was feeling well enough to go home on Saturday, were her owners were continuing her convalescence with pain relief, antibiotics and of course lots of TLC! She has been back today for her Post Op Check Up and is doing very well indeed! We expect her to make a full recovery and we'll see her back next week for her stitches out ππ±π picture 3 is a photograph of a normal size feline uterus and picture 4 is of Tera'sπ

When my macey was very ill and had to stay in for 3 days, I couldn't fault Thameswood, they said they would ring me and update me every 2 hours and they did exactly that. They got her through life threatening time in her life and she pulled through and I'm extremely grateful to them. I certainly can't fault them. Staff are always welcoming and takes time to talk to me and macey.
I can't rate these kind people enough, professional and caring. My German Shepherd, Pippa is always treated incredibly well and pretty much spoilt rotten and made a huge fuss of when she has to visit. After moving to Swindon I feared I wouldn't find another vets like our family vets in Bowbridge, Stroud but I'm pleased to say I always feel welcomed and any fears I have are always put to rest and re-assured. I also appreciate the phone calls often late in the day when we have been waiting for results of tests. Thank you Guys you really are all amazing, Vets, Nurses and Reception ladies. All knowledgeable and kind.
Fantastic!! Always feel welcome, staff are amazing with all animals and genuinely care about the animals!! My pup loves it and can't wait too get in every time we go!! I have a lot of time and respect for all the staff at thameswood and highly recommend them!!!
This practice is getting reported to to RCVS (vet governing body) first thing tomorrow morning after hearing how my mum was spoken to and treated came home crying. She suffers with bad anxiety and has been made worse by this!
She deserved a formal and written apology or this will also be reported to the swindon papers and websites.
I don't care who's the owner, every profession has a governing body and this is being sorted tomorrow.
Disgusting.
