The Abinger Medieval Fair is open, the sun is shining, the bars and BBQ’s are going and it’s set to be a fantastic afternoon ☀️🍻

The forecast might not be able to make up its mind but we’re sure it’s going to be be the most amazing Abinger Medieval Fair ever - kicking off at 2pm today there’s so much to see and do including Galloping Acrobats! We’ve got our BBQ and bars set up and are ready and waiting for everyone to arrive later today 🍻 We’ll also have live music at the pub from 5pm for everyone to enjoy and relax once the Fair has finished!

It’s National Fish & Chips Day today so why not come down and take advantage of our delicious 2-4-1 Fish & Chips available every Friday from 12-6pm 🥂

We are currently looking for an assistant manager to join the business. The assistant manager role is vital to the success of the pub and we are looking for someone who has a passion for fresh food, great customer service and a desire to make guests happy.
Our beautiful quintessential English pub is set in the picturesque, rolling Surrey Hills and has charm and a warm, bright, but cosy feel about it. In the summer months guests can enjoy a cool pint of beer or a glass of chil...led wine in our delightful gardens, whilst eating and relaxing with friends and family or come and sit by our alluring roaring wood fires, lit in the cooler, darker winter months. Our menu is all prepared using locally sourced fresh ingredients.
Last year we were runners up in both Surrey Life Magazine ‘Best Surrey Pub 2018’ and Muddy Stilettos ‘Pub of the Year . Both awards required nominations from our guests to reach the finals.These nominations demonstrate our focus on our guests experience and show the direction we are continuing to take the pub in.

Prudential Ride London-Surrey is back the weekend of 3rd-4th August 2019 and looking set to be another fantastic event (fingers crossed the weather will be better than last year!). However, due to our location at The Abinger Hatch, please be aware that on this date there will be no access via the roads to reach us as road closures will be in place throughout the Surrey Hills for the races to take place.
If you live walking distance from us we are going to be running a BYOBBQ ...- Bring Your Own BBQ! On Sunday 4th August our main kitchen will be closed for the day, due to staff access to the pub, but we will have our BBQ out in the garden ready and waiting for locals to enjoy once the race has passed by. Bring down your own picnic (yes you're reading that right we're a pub telling you to bring your own food!) and we'll BBQ anything that needs cooking for you! Our bar will of course be open so we politely ask that you don't bring your own drinks but the first drink will be on us.*
