UPDATE 11/6/19: It has emerged that Nero has bitten to the extent that a family member required stitches and that is why they feel they can no longer keep him, however, a dog trainer contacted me last night about Nero and we had a long conversation resulting in him contacting the owners and is going to see Nero for himself in next couple of days with a view of possibly taking him to foster and work with, he is going to give me a full update on his findings in a few days so fi...ngers crossed.
URGENT POST: I am posting this to try and help this dog on the plea of the veterinary staff who do not want to see this dog destroyed, I have personally not seen or dealt with this dog but briefly spoke to the owners and my impression is that this is a complete mismatch so is anyone able and prepared to try this dog, even on a foster basis to try and help him, please? I did put the owners onto two Border Collie rescues but they were not interested as he had bitten. This dog only has a few days, this is his owners message to me:
"This is Nero, a 2 and a half year old border collie from Basingstoke. We always had problems with him, biting being the worst one. The last bite was the most serious and he just cannot stay with us any longer, my dad wants him gone by the end of this week. We are trying to avoid putting him to sleep and find someone that would take him".
