What a great place, the staff are lovely and helpful. The food & drink's are very reasonable compared to the Belgrade, and any other theatre I've been to. Would highly recommend the Albany theatre.

User

Went to see window today and what a fantastic show in a small intimate venue congratulations to all involved

User

Very nice venue, the auditorium is perhaps not the best decor, and some seats look a little tired, but its quite an old building. This did not detract from the quality of the act, nor the friendliness of the staff (who all volunteer) I love to support these old places , because if people don't, they are lost forever. I Went to see Queen tribute which was excellent.

User

Thought the singers were very good. But the dancers were very off putting, prancing in front of the singers all the time!! Plus they were not good dancers, and not in sequence with each other half the time. And as for the compère . What did that have to do with the four seasons. jersey boys, he was a waste of time!! And as other people we spoke to , said the same we went to see the Jersey boys ,not a gay comedian .

User

The show was fab and the place is so lovely and sweet! Needs more suport we need to hang on to these places in Coventry its been there years. Loved it.

User

The new studio space is wonderful and will provide lots of scope for new activities and events. It was nice to relax in the space and enjoy some refreshments before a performance began. It's a great addition.

User

Really is a truly wonderful theatre, we were to watch the pantomime. Fantastic show kept you entertained all through the performances. Now we have been inside the theatre we shall be booking for future events. There was a place where you could get refreshments. Toilets were on hand. Parking was nearby in the adjacent building.

User

My husband and I went to The Albany last night to watch Elvis .. We had the best night ever thank you to the lovely warm staff and the ambience of the building. We are looking at booking some more shows in the foreseeable future. Highly recommend to anyone ... The experience is amazing .

Fabulous place!

User

Excellent show thoroughly enjoyed the evening good company. Paul and Jackie.

Never realised Carol King had written so many brilliant songs. A good evening singing.

Recommend it, was a real blast from the past.

User

Can't tell you how fantastic this theatre and all its staff have been to me and my filming crew. We shot a short film here back in March and were welcomed with open arms and sooo much help. 11/10.

User

Brilliant show, loved all the characters but Scrooge was excellent. Shame the theatre was only half full but it was a cold night.

Glad of the coffee in the foyer and unlike most theatres prices were fantastic. Theatre staff all very chatty and helpful so thanks to everyone.

User

Went to see the Alice in Wonderland ballet last night a great performance. Looking at previous comments about the Albany theatre, I did notice people leaving the plastic drink cups and sweet wrappers etc about after the performance. But the audience were attentive to the show obviously different to a tribute night. There are some good productions performed at this theatre which we have attended and have tickets for a show later this month. I realise this is a voluntary run theatre, appreciate this maybe a little more training for staff is needed for certain events. Glad the theatre was reopened again as it's a great asset to the city.

User

I think the volunteers do a good job. The theatre is old but I'm pleased it's still open. There are some good performances and I've always enjoyed them.

User

Fantastic show, Elkie Brooks was fantastic. Friendly staff, great atmosphere just a shame about the seats. Ours were actually broken and very uncomfortable.

User

Convenient & plentiful parking for central Coventry (although understandably not free). Nice medium- sized theatre with original features that supports productions of amateur groups. Attended Rock Of Ages by City College Coventry students & enjoyed throughly. Would only wish for some financial investment into the venue as it has the potential to be glorious if restored and renovated correctly. As it stands, it is looking tired ūüôĀ

User

We saw The World Famous Elvis Show last night. It was a Christmas present for my husband and my young son, who are ardent fans of the music - me too really. The performer was very good, and the venue is beautiful. Unfortunately some members of the audience spoiled it for me, and others - arriving late to their seats, in and out during the whole performance and talking loudly throughout - they were shushed by many but to no avail. They shouldn't have been allowed to behave that way as it was rude and disruptive. I've no objection whatsoever to the dancing and singing by those who joined in on the invitation of the performer, but constantly traipsing in and out for smoke breaks and drinks was out of order.

User

Brilliant performance by the Capella's dance school although the experience was tainted by getting a parking ticket on my motorbike! 27 years I have been riding and parking a motorcycle in Coventry and this is the first ticket I have had. Fortunately for me I had purchased a parking ticket but as it had no facility to attach it to a motorcycle I had to keep it on me. I will now have the hassle of sorting this out. They provide no reserve parking or helmet storage for motorcycle riders yet expect to fleece them like this. It sullied the experience so the Albany need to sort this out pronto. #exploitingbikers
